Caice-d'oh!

Stop defending them please, we never asked to buy the most expensive player every 3 years. They neglected the midfield for too long and you know it, and honestly they should force Klopp to sell players in the future if they keep having injuries instead of hoping they will become better, and personally I think it causes internal problems when a player who is on high wages is not available half the time. Don't assume that I am one of those that want FSG Out. I really like the way they have operated in the market with multiple targets etc.. but for whatever reason they decided to go off script on their own methods in recent seasons. Also if they are going to do that Moneyball thing they should aim for more younger but physically developed players - we are talking the 12M-25M mark if that is at all possible in todays market. For the record, I would have been very pleased with Lavia as much as I am happy for Caicedo. The only thing Caicedo offers with assurance is that extra bit of experience in the PL (including knowing how to operate with Mac10), and an ability to play RB when Trent inverts.
You are the whinger in chief on here - this is a clear riposte to that bollocks.

If I were Tony Bloom, I'd say it's £141 million from Chelsea now, or Caicedo goes to Liverpool. End of.

If he goes to Chelsea we're gonna be an even bigger laughing stock than we were yesterday.
Why though? Because of the personal decision of a player who's dropped his pants whenever a big club comes knocking?

If that £110m or a large proportion goes towards 2 players and we come out the season better for it, then what?

I doubt that. It would really the chavs who would be the laughing stock, although we all k ow football shanter doesn’t work that way. Chelsea could have had the player for £100 million at beginning of window.

That said, I’m wary of these foreign types who are seduced primarily by London or the other bigger cities of the world (I recall Patrick Kluivert preferring Barcelona for Manchester because the former was a bigger and more glamorous place.) though. Funny thing is he ended at Newcastle after flipping at Barcelona.

If he goes to Chelsea, we would still need a DM as we have done for a while and well before this summer.
Some things are out of our control including what’s going in Moises head but does mean other selling clubs now know our hand.

Klopp's basically gone and said its done at the press conference. Would he do that if things weren't signed and sealed?
He only said the fee was agreed and was told by the club that's all he could say, he knew nothing about a player coming for a medical or that he'd even agreed a move/personal terms.

It's looks more and more as if the rumours about Caicedo having 2nd thoughts about a move to us is coming from the Chavs who are hoping to hijack the deal that we hijacked. I reckon they've got (hi)jack shit.

Agree, the Chavs are desperate to get Brighton back at the table to negotiate.

If Brighton accept a Chelsea offer of say £120m, then I guess their would be a breach of contract and we could sue. A deadline has been set, and the offer accepted. Can't see legally how Brighton turn back, If however, the player decides, I am not gonna go, then this might allow Chelsea to come in but I would suspect they'd still owe us compensation

It sounds a lot like Todd saying to his agent.. hey what ever Liverpool offer you. We'll double it.

SSN also said Kane was having second thoughts about Munich yesterday.

So take it with a pinch.

However, until he signs... it could all go Fekir.

Never had a good feeling about this guy cause money grabbing twats just don't vibe with Klopp. But he's definitely a big catch.

I'd much rather we stuck with the Lavia plan. It'll be a pain to go back to Saints now with the 51m offer

If this deal doesn't go through, we will have failed Basic Negotiation 101.

Everyone will know we have 110M and are desperate, and will squeeze every penny out of us.

Don’t think so, I would assume player could turn us down and another Club can sign him for whatever the fee they agree surely.

If he's having doubts cos Chelsea offer him double then I would say fuck him off anyway, but I think it's all a bit of a media game for Chelsea to save face and maybe it's just Caicedo's agents pushing for more money from us.

Hard to tell exactly what's going on or what's gonna happen

Everyone's labelling him a twat, but you have to remember he agreed with Chelsea long before us, if he has changed his mind from us, if anything he's sticking to his word.

If we fail to get Moses, I don't mind going back for Lavia and Thuram, or Thuram and Kone. But you just know clubs are going to drive a hard bargain with us now that they know all the cards we hold in our hands.

He always sounded a twat from the off anyway personslity wise, first united then Arsenal and Chelsea. They can have him on their 10yr deal special. On to the next target..
