Caice-d'oh!

When we've taken big steps forward as a team recently it's when we've bought top players in their positions : VvD, Alisson & Fabinho. Caiceido would put us back into PL contention NOW.
Posted before the news broke. Please be true : a PL + EL double could well be on the cards as befitting Klopp. And next season ... The World!

Haha and here was I thinking you'd have the good grace to own up and bow your head in supplication asking the club for forgiveness.

& I will when the time's right!!!! 1st September so long the Caicedo deal is done, and there's no catch like selling Diaz Thiago an Mo to Saudi.

Need to see it ta believe it.

I’m still waiting on good beans from @doctor_mac; without this I’m afraid the party isn’t happening.

Imagine if you applied "need to see it to believe it" to negative reports.

It ain't over the line yet, Chelsea won't want to go into Sundays game with this hanging over them, he wanted to go to Arsenal in Jan, and Chelsea a few weeks ago, London is less upheaval for him, so don't count your chickens yet.
Yeah thats my concern as well. We had a bid accepted without speaking to him first. He seemed to have his heart set on Chelsea. Less upheaval from Brighton.

I don't listen to half what these so called ITK's say, the only guys I really follow and take their word for are Romano & Ornstein..

Rest are just chancers far as I'm concerned.

Sky saying £111m plus sell on with personal terms agreed

Liverpool have agreed a British-record transfer fee with Brighton for midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The fee is understood to be worth £111m, with Caicedo set to travel to Liverpool on Friday for a medical. There will also be a sell-on clause included in the deal.

Liverpool were informed just after midnight that they were indeed the highest bidders. Personal terms with Caicedo have been agreed and planning for all the formalities of a transfer are now in motion.

Rumours suggest Paul Gorst is still asleep

Well then, I guess it's pretty much done and dusted.
Just waiting for a pic of him leaning on a wall next to the "this is Anfield" sign.

What's the feeling on the Chelsea forums? Guessing they didn't want him anyway, despite wanting him badly a few days ago?

Couldn't agree more Froggy, shame on all of them. Should never show their faces on any LFC boards again.

This changes nothing - absolutely nothing. I don't understand why they even moved away from their original strategy, the FSG outers are not interested in us competing for the very top players, just buy the necessary players that Klopp needs - even if he don't think he needs them. We would not have needed a complete re-build if contracts were not given out left right and center to aging players and covering for players that were always fucking injured. Don't do shit like sell Lovren and not get another defender in, sell Gini and not get another midfielder in who can play as many games as he could. That's all we ask for, and also don't be stubborn arse-hole Mr. Klopp, just coz you can't get your first choice then at least get your 2nd choices in. I know most of you on here would be like "Yeah we got Mbappe..." - but seriously I would be one of those that would be worried with the amount of upset he would cause in the squad, same issue with a Neymar type player as well.

This Caicedo purchase will not and does not mean we are covered for the season - we need a defender regardless, and then we just about have enough until the first potential injury to Caicedo.

Hopefully sell on is on profit over and above £111m, not that it truely matters. Hopefully he’s with us 10 years and triggers every add on

Didn't Romano say we going to get Lavia ?

Nope, there was never a here we go!!!!!!

Just reported (like everyone else) the bids that went in and were preparing a new one after the first/second were rejected.

It was an auction, wasn’t it? I’m willing to bet there’s no sell on clause of any sort but just Brighton leaking bits to the press, hence solidifying the aura around their scouting and negotiating team.

Wait, over the last decade of miserly FSG ownership, have we broken the British transfer records for 'keepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers?
Now there’s a stat to prove the “miniskirt” quote

They're sick as a dog, spent months negotiating we came in with our dicks swinging and said here's the money.

Now they're all saying he ain't worth the money, foolishly forgetting that they spent £107m on Enzo and kind of kicked off this whole godforsaken mess.

Banter club honestly, will love it if Brighton now sign Lavia

This tweet highlights the ineptitude perfectly

That would be the normal structure, and it reflects Brighton's confidence in the player and the valuation that they think there was merit in negotiating it - i.e. they think if we were to sell him further down the line it would be for an even bigger fee.

Just watched one of the four hundred welcome to Liverpool videos already made for me, he really looks like Milner when he tackles, which is a great thing, need that steel and bite back in our midfield, but how many cards did he pick up last season? He does a lot of high risk tackles, invariably gonna miss time a few of them.

Also, this is more a reflection of our transfer strategy than a criticism of Caicedo, but he's another shorty. Replacing Fabs and Hendo with Caicedo and Mccallister drastically reduces the height in our team. At least Slobbo stands at six foot.

Szoboszlai - €70M
Mac Allister - €45M
Caicedo - €125M***
Nunez - €90M
Gakpo - €47M
Luis Diaz - €50M
Konate - €45M
Alisson - €70M
Keita - €65M
VVD - €90M
Fabinho - €55M

That's miserly FSG for you.
