I don't know about every one else. I'm not able to watch that turd of a football match on tele. I fell asleep during the game. This has become a regular thing under Roy.

We were outplayed by Stoke, and showed no ambition to win the game. It is acceptable if we get out played by a team from the bottom half of the table once in a while, but under Roy it happens almost all the fucking time. We are not winning either. I thought we had turned the corner, but this is just stupid. I'd hate it if he gets one of our top players injured playing this turgid stuff.

Can we please fucking sack him. I'm finding it hard to turn the tele on, and i feel sorry for those who have to go and see the game.

Oh by the way...what he said after the game? I hope it was not .."We deserved to concede 1 goal only and keep the goal difference down for the relegation battle"

He must go before it's too late.

Whatever anyway, I think the issue can be met halfway, Roy is shit and so is the squad.
 
It's simple:

Rafa left an average squad of slow plodding cnuts (which was generally overachieving up until his last year with us).

Roy has added shit to the squad (in Poulson and Konchesky), but then, that's what you get when you only have peanuts (thanks to Hicks and Gillett).

Roy is also now underachieving with these slow plodding cnuts (that Rafa left us with and he added to (with little money (thanks to Hicks and Gillett))).

I think the solution is/was simple:

1) Get rid of Hicks and Gillett.. and get new owners in - CHECK
2) Get rid of Rafa - CHECK
3) Get rid the slow, plodding cunts in our squad - UNCHECKED
4) Get a good manager to replace Rafa and build a new squad - UNCHECKED

If we fulfil the last two items on the list above by the end of the season. It may go down as a good 12months in the end.

There can only be two valid explanation for this inaction where Roy is concerned

1. The board is afraid of making a change.
2. They have already lined up someone who can only join us on a set date.

I hope it's the later........even then i wouldn't mind Roy getting the sack and us being manager-less for a short period of time.

He then spends 11.5M on Merielles and plays him on the right wing

I don't know if we really can wait until the end of the season. Roy will get us a nice 8-10th finish. He's won his 1 away game already this season, and will relay on picking up points at home.
There could be a mass exodus if Roy coninues in charge. And that would put us back even further.

Let's face it, the last 180 mins away to two of the worst teams in the Premiership have been just plain embarressing.
Clueless tactically and seems to allianate a lot of the players in our squad. As Brendan said the worst manager ever.

Shocking. Needs to go, ASAP.

You know...the feeling's like anticipating the results for the National Lottery. Except on a daily basis.

One can only hope the odds of Roy being sacked are much, much lower than winning the lottery. Because win or lose, I'm starting to think Roy's still got a stack of 'get out of jail free' cards left in his pocket and they seem to self-replenish themselves.

How many defeats have we had this season already ? He'd been sacked ages ago if we had an owner like Roman.

They know that the biggest problem is the shit, massively overpaid squad that we have. And that a managerial change is just shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic.

They're clearly putting in place the structure to take the football club forward, the managerial position is just one part of it. It makes no sense to rush the appointment. And I'd say it makes no sense to bring in a new man while you're putting that structure in place. Once it's in place we can then find someone that will fit into it .
 
I'd agree with that, Ross.

But I'd also think that NESV isn't stupid, and can see that Hodgson has made dismal use of the players he has.

HOdgson is going to get sacked eventually, the issue is whether it's in 15th place now or 19th place in May.

The squad is clearly a problem but I don't agree it's the biggest one. Avvy's right to point out that the squad - poor as it is - has been appallingly deployed by Roy. The state of the squad is actually a powerful reason for Roy to be gone by yesterday, as it will require strengthening in January and he is painfully obviously not the man to entrust with carrying that out.

Making Kenny caretaker till next summer always was the choice the club ought to have made. Roy's abject failure just underlines the fact.
