BYE BYE ROY!!!!!

“Liverpool should be in the top half of the table but instead we are at the bottom but hopefully that will change after today.â€

Top half?

He just doesn't get it, does he?

If I knew he'd get sacked today if we lost, I'd want us to lose.

sssh, the inquisition (real fans) will come get ya..

Jezzeess, he really needs to go. And fast. It's like having a poor deluded old uncle that you're afraid will open his mouth in public anc cringe every time he opens his mouth. Slagging of people left, right and centre. On the bad side with players, press and the fans.

It's time to go. We need a change. We're like Newcastle FFS

I respect him a bit for at least coming out fighting when he can see his job is on the line.
It is a pity that it sounds a bit delusional and desperate though.
If he could translate that fighting spirit into the players on the football field, then I doubt if we would be in the mess that we are currently in.
It also worries me a bit, that it seems that having his job under threat has prompted the, err spirited defence, rather than the precarious position the team finds itself in.

I understand Rijkaard has just been sacked from Galatasaray – he must be a great manager to have been sacked by Galatasaray.
Ha, good response.
Thought that was a bit harsh and cuntish really.

Yea me too, and not entirely accurate either.

Me thinks there is a nasty side to Roy that doesn't often reveal itself.

To be absolutely fair, I read an interview with him once in which he himself made reference to the fact that he had a temper on him earlier in his career. The fact that it's surfaced again now shows what pressure he feels under.

It also underlines that he has to go, because keeping LFC at the top (if he could get us anywhere near it) ain't going to be a picnic either.

We'll be losing 2-0 at half time, he won't make a tactical substitution until the 80th minute, but will replace injured players if needed.

Well that was his Blackpool tactics, and Blackburn are a better side.

I have zero faith in him, but hope against hope we win and get out of the relegation places

Yea why the fuck does he wait until the 75th-80th minute to make his first substitution...
Against Northampton he waited until extra time!

The Rijkaard comments are snide and unnecessary. He of all people knows what it's like to be sacked, no need to rub it in. Anyway I'd say the Spanish league and the champions league, plus a semi-final of a euro cup are a damn sight more impressive than a Danish league win. I wish he'd shut up.

Mind you, there could be a hidden benefit to his spouting in the media. It could just be the last straw that helps convince NESV to get rid.

Because he believes that you've prepared for a match days in advance & to make a change during the game is 'panicking & isnt the correct decision'. Which is fucking mental.

He has certainly got the press on his side.

"Roy Hodgson is not a humble man; his past is something to be rolled around and contemplated like a fine single-malt whisky. "

I'm dreading today's game.

However, if we lose, then he MUST be sacked. We're becoming a laughing stock.

Edit. We've become a laughing stock.

Tim Rich at the independent.

Roy Hodgson is not a humble man; his past is something to be rolled around and contemplated like a fine single-malt whisky. The miracle at Halmstads where, not yet 30, he took a town with the population of St Albans to the Swedish championship. The rebuilding of Internazionale, the transformation of Fulham, the triumphs in Denmark and Switzerland.
