but I never expected that Roy would just be a pisspoor imitation of him.
Hopefully the next bloke can do something better

how do u define "better"? Winning the champions league, getting us to 2 CL finals, FA cup, 2nd place in the league, double over mancs and blueslime?
some ppl just have pisspoor memory.

I define better as winning the league - what else?
The majority of Liverpool fans would put that as their ultimate priority.
Whilst it would be daft to try and denigrate Rafa's achievements, it is equally as daft to be completely blind to his flaws. As much as there were many wonderful memories during his tenure, there were some dire ones as well, and if anything it is the people that claim that everything would have been perfect under Rafa who have the pisspoor memories.
People played out of position, mystifying teamsheets that even simpletons could see were bound to fail, a rigid inability to make substitutions before 60 minutes, tactics designed to negate the opposition rather than play them off the park - when it's Stoke, at home . . .
Just because Roy makes all of these mistakes - but worse - in addition to being shitter everywhere else as well, doesn't make the mistakes that Rafa made any better.
I'd like to see somebody who plays (knows even) his best team, and plays the right person in the right position. Somebody who recognises the obvious and does it when it's needed, but has the imagination and innovation to do something different as well. Somebody who isn't afraid to let the leash off and destroy teams that have come to park the bus, but is pragmatic enough to play smart and 'anti-football' the people that need to have their natural game broken up.
But hey - what do I know, I'm just the kinda guy who has more loyalty to players that have come through the youth ranks and were integral to every success we've achieved over the last decade, are our captain and vice-captain and embody everything about the club.
Y'know - the kinda players that are "Just as bad as Gillett and Hicks".
I really should fuck these bad influences off and throw my support behind the Inter manager
