Arf.

You haven't commented that I can recall, Vlad. What say you on whether or not Roy should be kept on?

Course he shouldn't.

Anyone in their right mind can see that.

I (forlornly) hoped that a new manager might lift the spirits of the players, get a bit of passion and desire in them again, but Roy makes *all* of the same mistakes as Rafa - except worse - and then to top it off is worse in every other respect as well.

It's time for him to go.

Incidentally, for those bleating about Rafa still, no-one would deny that Roy has been worse than him, but that doesn't make Rafa the answer.

It's like that photo of some blonde bird with the caption "Decent" and then the same bird next to her munter mate where she now looks "Stunning"

He's now come out and said Torres's confidence is low and needs a goal: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/9100249.stm

Perhaps Torres has no f*****g confidence in you as a manager, perhaps he is thinkign what is the f*****g point if there is no service to me and half the players around me are shit.

I didn't want Budgie but I thought give him a chance, it is quite obvious to see that this isn't working for him and we should move him on, Liverpool way or not.

Hodgson has now equalled the worst league start of any Anfield manager since George Patterson in 1928. Liverpool are kept off the foot of the table only by goal difference [Express].

Think you lost Neil at the end there though.

I have my doubts to wheter or not anything will be done until a new board is put together. Hopefully that can happen quickly.

on the 606 phone in there were loads of people sticking up for good ol' roy and bet every single last one of them was either a manc or a bitter as every single liverpool forum (and I mean every last one) the majority want him out now.

Sammy Lee?

Ewww . . . that's a really unpleasant mental image.

FWIW I did think it was time for Rafa to go, and I had hoped Roy would at least bring a temporary respite from the dirge we were seeing.

The latter I was completely wrong about, the former . . . well, I still think it was time to go and Roy being awful doesn't change the issues I had with with Rafa - but I never expected that Roy would just be a pisspoor imitation of him.

Hopefully the next bloke can do something better

Wow having achieved the ignominy of becoming the worst manager in our modern history, he is now gunning for the worst manager in our history.

how do u define "better"? Winning the champions league, getting us to 2 CL finals, FA cup, 2nd place in the league, double over mancs and blueslime?

some ppl just have pisspoor memory.

his comments are pathetic..

They have been since day one.. Everytime he talks to the media i fucking cringe.

He just exudes 'low expectations'. Give him a year, and he'll be perfect for us.

"The first thing we have to do is start playing and winning matches. Hopefully we can do that and get ourselves in a better position, then if the owners can find a way to back us and improve the team in the transfer window we will obviously do so.

"Of course the January transfer window is something that interests us. We'll have to do our scouting work for future transfers like any other club, but it's not something that interests us in the coming weeks. What interests me is preparing for Napoli and Blackburn - a game we need to win."

Yes, Neil.

Rafa, Agger and Babel will return and lead us to glory.
[/quote]

I've moved on from rafa (but still maintain he should have been given another season) I know want a young hungry manager. plan for the long and if we have to tread water while those plans come to fruition, so be it. short term fixes will just cover cracks.

At this moment in time my confidence in the team and management is completely gone. I couldn't even get excited for the Derby yesterday. I just knew what to expect, 1 or 2 players holding their heads high while the rest are shite. Story of the past year. Bringing Kenny in would bring back some much needed optimism around the place. Get rid of Woy as soon as possible. Come on Henry.

I hope he is gone long before jan. I wouldn't trust roy to walk an old woman across the road let alone spend the jan transfer budget.

I remember when we talking about the next five games and people were making predictions about how many points we'd earn, I conservatively said 9 points, how I would snatch your arm off for those 9 points now.

I define better as winning the league - what else?

The majority of Liverpool fans would put that as their ultimate priority.

Whilst it would be daft to try and denigrate Rafa's achievements, it is equally as daft to be completely blind to his flaws. As much as there were many wonderful memories during his tenure, there were some dire ones as well, and if anything it is the people that claim that everything would have been perfect under Rafa who have the pisspoor memories.

People played out of position, mystifying teamsheets that even simpletons could see were bound to fail, a rigid inability to make substitutions before 60 minutes, tactics designed to negate the opposition rather than play them off the park - when it's Stoke, at home . . .

Just because Roy makes all of these mistakes - but worse - in addition to being shitter everywhere else as well, doesn't make the mistakes that Rafa made any better.

I'd like to see somebody who plays (knows even) his best team, and plays the right person in the right position. Somebody who recognises the obvious and does it when it's needed, but has the imagination and innovation to do something different as well. Somebody who isn't afraid to let the leash off and destroy teams that have come to park the bus, but is pragmatic enough to play smart and 'anti-football' the people that need to have their natural game broken up.

But hey - what do I know, I'm just the kinda guy who has more loyalty to players that have come through the youth ranks and were integral to every success we've achieved over the last decade, are our captain and vice-captain and embody everything about the club.

Y'know - the kinda players that are "Just as bad as Gillett and Hicks".

I really should fuck these bad influences off and throw my support behind the Inter manager
