Just had a text saying that Ian Ayre was in the Twelfth Man after the game & said they'd been instructed to show Roy the door.
How reliable do you think the source is FFF?
He wouldn't be on a windup would he?
The lad that sent it to me is serious but he heard from someone else, so fuck knows.

I'm clinging to the hope of it being true like a tabletop alongside the Titantic.
That rumour is on RAWK as well. They also sent a link to Henry on Twitter which showed a poll entitled "Should we sack Hodgson"

all have polls and 'roy out' is the majority vote on all of them. this from usually the most patient fans in the league.

I do feel genuinely sorry for Roy. He's a nice man who's out of his depth and whose players are letting him down badly. He isnt doing himself any favours but he isnt a BAD man and i hope his luck turns soon wherever he goes.
Yep. And that's why I want him to go soon, because I'll start disliking him more and more.

seriously question, we've played 15 games this season, has there been a single game we've DESERVED to win? i.e. we completely dominated the play.

Nope. Even Steaua looked good against us.

Even the worst Liverpool players have had some fans, (KHL-Poulson, you-Babel, Pennant- Oncy, Lucas-Ryan I'm sure Biscan probably had a fan somewhere). Roy has somehow achieved the impossible

We've deserved to win our European games.

Anyways, I've just done a little fist pump at the thought of this actually being true. I'd love to wake up tomorrow and read that Hodgson has been sacked.

Because he sucks Purslow's cock.

Sorry I'm hungover and I can't write. They sent the poll results to John Henry

BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO!

I love the fact that he's statesmenlike and steadying the sinking ship and bringing dignity back and not overcomplicating things cos football's a simple game.
That is how it should have been - all of those things.
I did not have huge expectations of him just that...............sadly, to date, it does not seem to be going those ways.
To be honest there have been few glimmers thus far either, he is being even more cautious than Rafa.
Under normal circumstances I would say it would be ludicrous to sack anyone eight games into the season, however a change of ownership can always trigger a change in an under performing manager, if that were the case I would not be too shocked.
I don't think the players have helped, but I can't be a hypocrite as regards the previous incumbent, the buck stops with him.
I still hope we will win a game and go on a bit of a run but, and I did not see the game today, that looks pretty unlikely at the moment.
All this has a terrible inevitability about it in the shape of MO'N, I have always had this feeling he would end up here........
regards

i did feel a bit sorry for him early on, but now now, because i think he's resigned to it, and because of the complete dickheads in the media who think it's all rafa's fault and he just needs a bit of time. patrick barclay thinks we'll be in a much-different position in mid-december if he carries on - i shudder to think.

So it gets printed, & the papers run the story 95%* of fans want rid of Roy.

*I assume 5% of the polled will be quite mad.

I kind of liked Biscan.
hahaha

I knew it.

Now that we have new owners, our angst are being vented against the manager and against one another. Why nor merge it and make it even longer than the sold to NESV thread? Too many Roy out threads lah.

I could understand before the take over, that the board would think a little harder about getting rid due to comp package, but now with new owners this shouldn't be a problem. Just sack him, give him the £3m or whatever it is, and move on.

Ive now spoken to someone who was there when Ian Ayres made his comments & apparently they've been taken wrongly. This fella claims he said something along the lines that the yanks will act quickly to get rid of Roy, not that they've said they are getting rid.

what's the difference? I guess a couple of games.

It's like Hodgson has been taken over by the Paranormal Activity monster.

The Board wanted a reliable manager who'd go away meekly if they wanted to fuck him off.

So whilst a poor appointment, it did make sense at the time.

But this crap being spouted is practically the same as Houillier talking about how many corners we'd had to prove how much attacking football we were playing.

For whatever little it's worth, that's probably the best thing RAWK has ever done.

A refresher on today's drivel:
* Liverpool display was best so far says Roy Hodgson despite Everton win |
Guardian

Liverpool were again woeful as an injury-plagued Everton side secured
their first derby win in four years... Hodgson said... "We didn't score
goals and Everton did but I refuse to accept that we were in any way
outplayed or any way inferior. I watched the performance and the second
half was as good as I saw a Liverpool team play under my management that
is for sure."...

He added: "The dream was we would come here on the back of new owners and
win the game but there is no point in attempting to analyse dreams. This
would have been the ideal opportunity to turn things around on the back of
the positive entry of the new owners and to get a result here would have
been Utopia."

* Roy Hodgson unsure how Liverpool lost against Everton | BBC

"How is it possible to lose 2-0 when the team has played as well as it did
for such a large part of the game?... How can life be so cruel that we can
play as well as that and get nothing from the game?"

"We've already lost five, is it? Or is it four?"

"It would be sad, I think, if I have to shoulder all the responsibility
for what's gone on, especially in light of the performances the players
have given."

* Everton 2-0 Liverpool - Hodgson | Sky Sports

"Any fair-minded person today would actually put that down to a good
Liverpool performance... Nine times out of ten, if you play like that you
come away from the game with a victory not a defeat... We don't need any
apologies for the level of our performance."

* Now who says this Liverpool lot can't be relegated? | Mail

Chippy and defensive after the game, he ended his press conference in a
sharp exchange with a journalist from Scandinavia who questioned the lack
of supply to Torres.

"Are you from Denmark?" Hodgson asked (he considers the Danish press too
negative).

"No, Norway," replied the visitor. "Ah, two countries I never want to work
in again," he said.

There was a rather obvious retort but the room was too polite to go there.
For now, anyway.

you can actually hear the benny hill 'laugh track' after every line.
these are the comments of a man who is expecting and asking to be sacked
