Spidey, *nobody* really wanted Budgie.

Even the rabid anti-Rafa cuntbubbles didn't *really* want Budgie over Benitez. That would mean they were the stupidest twats on Earth.

Nobody wants Budgie, and he will be replaced shortly, and will go down in history as one of the worst LFC managers EVER

As I predicted

i get the point that most of the rafa-haters were just sounding off, but i still think there were a fair few who'd have taken hodgson over benitez, and not just restricted to the spastics like zlatan, either.
Some of the best posters on here were of that opinion (Oncy, Gene and Nessie for example).

I don't think that anybody was really inspired by his appointment though, and nobody on here can honestly say that they thought we'd be where we are right now under Roy.

apparantly NESV sacked the red socks manager one week after taking them over.
well well well...

Best news I've heard all evening.

Hodgson seems to be able to pick the best XI available to him (unlike rafa) but is totally unable to get anything out of them.

I still have no clue as to what our midfield actually functions

At the risk of labouring a point, lets not forget the poll that appeared not so long ago, with an option to take back Rafa or keep Budgie; The lemmings chose to keep Budgie.
The lemmings didnt believe that he'd be worse than Rafa, and whilst the Rafa apologists are probably out in force now I think that aside from them, most would agree that Rafa had to go.

anyway, this isn't a Rafa thread.

Well the Lemmings were so wrong on that score weren't they? Something as obvious as that, so what price they were wrong on sacking the Manager too?

I havent lost the argument,Cockring.

Nor am I ignorant.

You and the other Rafa worshippers are out in force now clucking away because we managed to find a manager worse than Rafa.

Something I predicted would happen when all the other Rafa worshippers claimed I was imagining them in my head.

And that's fine, but that's quite another argument from pontificating that Rafa would have somehow been a miracle this season and so we should have kept him.;

I wanted him gone, but I thought we could have done better than HOdgson.

One thing I'd bet my bottom dollar on is that he wouldn't have had us 2nd from bottom 8 games in and 10th would be a miracle right now, lesson learned? Be careful what you wish for.

Yes, yes.....let's now sing the lamentation of what could have been.

If you pray hard enough, he may even come back and lead us to the promised land.

I'm really not bothered with arguing the point, it's hardly going to make Hodgson less shit.

Raf : I don't think Koking is the only poster taking some perverse glee from how shit Hodgson has been.

I'm not talking about you at all, mate.

In fact, you're one of those I was completely wrong about.

I've been off line for a few hours.
Has he done the decent thing and resigned yet?

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has claimed Sunday’s defeat to Everton was the best game the side have planned since he took over as manager.

Hodgson’s side lost 2-0 to their Merseyside rivals in front of new owner John W Henry, turning in a performance that was more likely to inspire despair than hope but the Reds boss found positive aspects in the performance and believes his side were unlucky.

Speaking after the game Hodgson told talkSPORT: “I can’t ask more of the players than they’ve given the club. I thought their workrate was outstanding, our passing was very good, our movement was good and Everton were fortunate enough to be able to defend on the back of a two-goal cushion. I think it might have been a different story had they not had the two-goal cushion

“In my opinion it’s arguably the best game we’ve played since I’ve become the manager of the club. That’s my opinion based on what I saw on the field but I’m fully aware that what you see on the field is not what people base their opinions on.

“They base them on results and then they try and find all kinds of other reasons why the result was what it was but for me, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be backed up by David Moyes, our performance today was a good one.

“We have seen a magnificent derby game. We were on the losing side and it pushes us even deeper into the mire because we needed a result from today, in particular we needed one on the back of the new owners coming in.â€

I am pretty sure that every Premier League manager will agree that you are doing a great job Roy because as long as you are in charge it gives them every chance of taking all three points when they play Liverpool.
Oh the despair of it all.
