BYE BYE ROY!!!!!

GH was giving a season to redeem himself, rafa should have been given the same courtesy. look at his record ffs, he'd earned it.
A separate issue. One that's been done to death.
I will also say even GH's worst interview doesn't even APPROACH the embarrassing defense roy offered up today.
I'm not sure about that, as much as I hate Hodgson, Geds rants about how many corners we had were mind boggling.
Virtually everyone was of the opinion that Rafa's tenure had run its course and he had taken us as far as he could. People were prepared to let him go because there were viable, suitable options out there. Deschamp, Pellegrini, Hiddink.....plenty. So don't give me all this guff that people wanted Hodgson instead. Virtually everyone was unimpressed but felt he was a short term solution that would steady the ship in a period prior to new owners taking over and picking their own man. What's happening here is that those who chose to support Hodgson (not his appointment) are being lambasted.
mate, there were LOADS of people in the 'anyone but rafa' camp, and 'anyone' would include hodgson, right?

there's no point denying it.

Thanks, Roy. Now Fuck off.
What are you thanking him for?

I think people joked they would take anyone over Rafa. I did it myself. Roy Hodgsaon wouldn't have come into the equation

Look, we all know that Budgie is going to go down as one of the worst LFC managers of all time.

I posted that ages ago.

The only real issue is this - how much damage can the Budgie-faced useless old cunt do before he gets sacked?

Ha ha that was funny. Now they were joking, riiiight.

I can't help but go on about rafa. sorry, I can't help it.
we released a european cup winning manager, for coming 7th (in an injury ravaged season) and replaced him with...roy hodgson.

that's like getting rid of a rolls royce and replacing it with a fucking bicycle*.

* with one wheel.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Rafa was shit last year.

Roy is shitter this year.

We need a better manager than both of them.

Ahhhhh....Cockring pops out the shadows to prod and goad whilst talking gibberish.

Got to say this sentiment rings true to me. That's why I was nervous about getting rid - because people didn't seem like they were joking. They really did want anyone but Benitez because they were so pissed off with him - as I say, emotions were running high. Even hatred didn't seem too strong a word sometimes. It never made sense to me unless the replacement was better. Let's face it there actually aren't that many....

naw, it's a bicycle with a wheel missing

Spidey, *nobody* really wanted Budgie.

Even the rabid anti-Rafa cuntbubbles didn't *really* want Budgie over Benitez. That would mean they were the stupidest twats on Earth.

Nobody wants Budgie, and he will be replaced shortly, and will go down in history as one of the worst LFC managers EVER

As I predicted

It was a chance worth taking. Rafa's approach had stopped working some time before he left, and nobody - even those many who, like me, weren't happy about Roy getting the job ahead of the King - could have imagined it would turn out this badly.

Some you win, some you lose. This was one we lost. Time to put things right. Roy out, fetch the King in while we have a proper look round.

Spot on. That's fairly obvious to you and I and those with a clue, but alas some people have different views. They'd regard us as belonging the the cult of Rafa and being RCDNW'ers. Now they try to backtrack saying they were joking or mentioning lesser managers like Hiddink or Rijkaard. You couldn't make it up.

i get the point that most of the rafa-haters were just sounding off, but i still think there were a fair few who'd have taken hodgson over benitez, and not just restricted to the spastics like zlatan, either.

I think there were around 5-10 people on here who said he would be a good choice given his astounding season with Fulham....

(that being his losers spot in the Uefa cup and the superfluous 2 away wins in the League)

At the risk of labouring a point, lets not forget the poll that appeared not so long ago, with an option to take back Rafa or keep Budgie; The lemmings chose to keep Budgie.

Neil in backtracking shocker, didn't he spend the whole of last season telling us how shite and defensive Rafa was? Has he blamed Skrtel for everything today yet and offered his love to Agger and Babel for their shocking absence that cost us everything?

rafa benitez is definately one of the best managers in european football.
there was an injury crisis.
the club was an utter shambles off the pitch.
the club was looking for new owners.

look at rafa record before the new owners arrived.
1 european cup.
1 fac cup.

look at the first season when the new owners gave rafa 'proper' money
european cup final

look at the season before last even with the off the pitch distraction
2nd in the league

and the board deemed this world class manager (yes WORLD CLASS) deserved the sack, for failing to qualify for the CL

a fucking SHIT decision from the board and the chickens have come home to roost.
