Is nobody taking my ITK text seriously?

I did. And I'm still hoping you'll tell us that you were being serious.

I'm not sure NESV can have confidence in a manager who has forgotten how many games we've lost let along the utterly clueless tactics on the pitch.

the board played a blinder this week but they are fucking up that good work

Let's be honest. Not one Liverpool fan with any semblance of a fucking clue thought Budgie was a good appointment, so all we can do his heap opprobrium on Pursslow and every other rabid, anti-Rafa cunt who thought that "anyone but Benitez' meant that a budgie-faced old loser of a cunt would be a better choice

WRONG!
[/quote]

Actually there was quite a few people that said he was a good appointment and should be given a chance. I remember being scolded for engaging in some discontent. I'm more annoyed I allowed my discontent at his signing to be shouted down. Some people seemed to think one bad season was enough to start thinking like a mid table club.

What would be the point in confirming that a clueless cunt was indeed a clueless cunt? They're still clueless cunts

Keep the Faith! Broughton stylee!

I wasn't enthralled with the Hodgson appointment, I liked the idea of Kenny as a temp, but I thought he'd do a decent job, doing the simple things that Benitez used to mess up. Picking Lucas constantly, for example, and overlooking the need for more firepower up front. Seems that Hodgson is just as bad for that, and has thrown a whole new world of muck into the mix.

I think the negativity that surrounded Benitez at the end was a bit hysterical. He wasn't the most exciting manager but we were generally good under him. Statistically you can't argue with his results especially with the pittance we spent in the past 3 seasons. Only that last season was truly bad - and the general circumstances surrounding the club had degenerated by then. I believe the media did influence things a lot - Ferguson has a lot of influence in the media.

BUT many were willing to take him simply to get rid of Benitez

Benitez had to go. After he was sacked we were still looking for a replacement. Hodgson didnt exactly force Benitez out.

No they weren't. Thoughts of Hodgson only materialised once Rafa had gone.

Benitez had to leave, we were in free fall and he had lost his vision of how he wanted Liverpool to be.

Replacing him with Hodgson has proved a disaster. It should have been Dalglish.

hodgo: 'as good as i have seen us play this season. excellent game of football'.

he's LFC's answer to michael foot.

I can't bring myself to believe in "Benitez had to go" if no better manager is in place to replace him. To me this seems the epitomy of "cut of your nose to spite your face". Or simply a knee jerk reaction to emotions running high.

without meaning to start another rafa debate, why did he NEED to go.
one 'truly' poor season out of six and as I said WEEKS ago I'd snatch your fucking arm off for 7th now.

This is kind of my point - people would take anyone to get rid of Benitez. Even an inferior manager. That doesn't seem very intelligent to me.

I'll admit that I liked the way Roy had Fulham playing last season. It was based to Zamora bring Duff, Dempsey and Davies into the game from midfield and some of the movement was brilliant. Maybe I'm a clueless cunt but I thought he'd be able to get players of a higher standard to do something similar, only better.

I was wrong.

Virtually everyone was of the opinion that Rafa's tenure had run its course and he had taken us as far as he could. People were prepared to let him go because there were viable, suitable options out there. Deschamp, Pellegrini, Hiddink.....plenty. So don't give me all this guff that people wanted Hodgson instead. Virtually everyone was unimpressed but felt he was a short term solution that would steady the ship in a period prior to new owners taking over and picking their own man. What's happening here is that those who chose to support Hodgson (not his appointment) are being lambasted.

basically because loads of people hated him way beyond reason. and as much as i'd defend him, i do wonder exactly why everyone hated him - perhaps he could have done more things to ingratiate himself, just as a simple expedient.

OK this makes sense to me.

GH was giving a season to redeem himself, rafa should have been given the same courtesy. look at his record ffs, he'd earned it.

I 100% agree.

To be fair I don't get to many games, but I got the impression he still had quite some support at the matches. I know he was deeply unpopular on the internet and 606. Anyway didn't mean to be pointing fingers. Am just a bit bemused by how it's turned out - that's all.
