Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Matip, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Shaqiri, Sturridge, Origi.
Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Firmino, Salah, Lallana, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold.
Wow. OK so best guess :

-----------------Alisson-------------
Gomez--Matip----VVD--Moreno
-----------------Hendo--------------
-----------Milner-----Keita-------------
-Shaqiri-----------------------Origi----
------------------Studge--------------

Probably the bench will be used well and early.

Matip, Moreno, Sturridge AND Origi, have I just entered a fucking TIMEWHARP.

A few things:

  1. Who did Clyne kill?
  2. Does Fabinho have to murder Henderson to get into the team?
  3. I would seriously play Camacho ahead of Lallana

To be fair, I'm not that bothered with Sturridge and Origi starting upfront, or Moreno and Matip starting.
My issue is with the midfield which by the looks of it, isn't going to provide the attack with shit.

Shaqiri and Sturridge are going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

The optimist in me would say these players will be hungry.
Problem is they are fucking wank.

These players aren't all fucking wank, but not sure about throwing them all in together as the way of getting them game time.

I'm really hoping for Keita to start to show some of his ability. He's the player we need most.

If Moreno is the answer then who should we sell in January should be the question.

I've completely lost touch with the youth sides, is there anyone who could do a job at left back? Id suggest Clyne but at this point it's obvious he has been kidnapped by the Taliban.
Fab and Millner can both play at LB

I understand that we need to rest players.

But the balance of that team looks all wrong.

I don't mind Gomez and Matip in defence, because Burnley will look to cross the ball and isolate one of their big men at the back post on a FB. Van Dijk will hopefully cover for Moreno in this regard.

However going forward, I don't like the look of either Studge or Origi in the wide left position. Neither are a natural in the position. We should have gone with an extra midfielder and just put Keita out there. He looked pretty good there in pre-season.
