BR's man management skills

Initially when he first took over we thought he was very good at man management. As he got more settled in his role he would out and shame players during press conferences. Towards the end of last season I thought he had lost the dressing room. Today, if newspapers are to believed he and Sterling have fallen out big time.

How can him and rodgers fall out? Of all the people that could fall out with rodgers, he'd surely be right at the end of the list - he's the one that has got him where he is today. I don't think many other premier league managers would have given him the game time he's got, and persevered with him as much when he's been out of form and played him up top.
Maybe he's been face stroked behind closed doors.
I don't think his man management skills are all that bad. He backs his players. Even the man management 'master' mourinho comes out on occasion and says his players need to buck their ideas up, I remember him doing it to Hazard.

It's hard to imagine not falling out with Sterling with the way he's acting at the moment. I don't really like Rodgers but i don't blame him for the Sterling situation.
Some of his other man management skills could be questioned though, like the way he treated Markovic. Picking him out of position at wing back and then when he predictably failed to have a massive influence on the game ,dragging him off at half time. If he did this once then you could understand but it happened about 3 or 4 times. How many times did he do this with Can at right wing back or right back and he at times was far more of a liability than Markovic was.
The lambert situation was bizarre as well. How many times did he bring him on with about 2 minutes to go. Personally i don't really rate Lambert but he was never really given a chance last season.

I can't imagine spending more than five minutes with the guy without wanting to punch his head clean off his body. Just one utterance of 'going forward' and I'd lose it.
He's plain weird.

No surprise at the idiots who fall for this bollocks. Go and read Milners interview on his conversation with Gerrard about Rodgers, go and dig out all those comments by past players slagging him off. Oh wait.

You've surprised me here Sean. I always had you down as an unhinged boring cunt with anger issues, but you continue to prove me wrong.

Milner: Speaking to the manager and what his plans were for me, and the things I've heard about him from other players - I was speaking to Stevie at England and people like that - and what he said to me made me want to come and play for him straight away.'

Brendans guide to man management...
  1. Process and Procedure are the last hiding places of footballers without the Fight and Spirit to play the game properly.
  2. There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough.
  3. There's no 'I' in 'team'. But then there's no 'I' in 'useless smug footballer', either. And there's three in 'Warrior of Spirit'. Go figure.
  4. You don't have to be mad to play here! In fact we ask you to complete a medical to ensure that you are not.
  5. You have to be 100% behind someone, before you can stab them in the back.
  6. Remember the 3 golden rules:
    1. Character
    2. Heart
    3. Desire
  7. It's the team that matters. Where would The Beatles be without Ringo? If John got Yoko to play drums the history of music would be completely different.
  8. If my methods are getting you down, look at me through the prongs of a fork and imagine me jail.
  9. I’ve always said that you can live without water for many days, but you can’t live for a second without hope
  10. Remember... "Per aspera as astra", which is Latin for "Through adversity to the stars".

I do have anger issues. Have done since receiving an anoxic brain injury when critically injured and surviving a coma at Hillsborough. My temporal lobes were damaged. If you think I'm angry now, you should have seen me in the few years after that. Still managed to get a degree and a masters and live an interesting life.
No one who knows me would EVER describe me as boring. However, I can't be arsed to outline any of life for some stranger on the internet.
Why you give one solitary toss that a stranger thinks Rodgers is a smoke-and-mirrors, management-speak tit is beyond me.

Fuck him and fuck you.
Have a nice day.

A chara, you just did explain yourself and always appreciate you taking the time to do so. Always entertaining to have both of you here. Go lightly mark would ya (for now!)

I don't really give a shit what people think of Rodgers, I only bother responding when it's the same people bringing down every thread with the same crap day in day out, which is what you have done for ages on here. I don't think that's wide of the mark. Vent yeah, but you don't need to repeat ad nauseam.

I'm sorry to hear about your injuries or that you were even there on that day, no one should have ever have had to go through that and knowing people in my family who were also there, I'm not ambivalent to the complexities of the aftermath on people, mentally and physically. So peace out on that note.
