Boxing please

Reports saying Wilder the mad bastard has turned down a 100mill deal with dazn, 3 fights, 2x joshua and 1x brejazzle. He must be off his rocker if he's turned that down. I can't see where he makes more money than that.

I’m seeing it from more sources. He’ll be lucky to make 15 million this year. He’s running from AJ.

Tonight is Spence v Garcia. Spence looks massive in comparison and will win on points by a big margin.

A mismatch from the beginning. Spence had nothing to gain from fighting Garcia, and I'm not sure really what Garcia gained by being blanked. He should count himself lucky that he didn't get badly knocked out or injured like Kell Brook did.

Spence should be fighting Crawford or Thurman, and Garcia should be fighting Lomachenko.

This is the biggest problem with boxing today, and Floyd's legacy - the right matchups are never made at the right time.

Does Thurman or Crawford even want Spence?

Spence might end up fighting Pacquiao next.
A young Pacquiao I'd have winning.
But Spence throws a lot of punches and hits hard. It might be too much for a 40 year old.

Be surprised if Manny fought spence. Bad fight for him. They'd most likely want to cherry pick a few before he packs it in.

Anthony Fowler lost in a great 10 rounder against Fitzgerald. Was winning end of the 9th and probably had punched himself out. Went down in the 10th and lost on a split decision.

That Liam Smith fight was so fucking one sided that I think he would actually have won with one of his hands quite literally tied behind his back.

The ref let it go on a couple of minutes too long as well, there was nothing to be gained letting him fight on & it could have ended very badly.

I missed it but felt it would be anticlimactic after the previous fight. Smith is levels above him and it showed. Smith is a fighter who is in that level above domestic but below world champion.

Unsurprisingly Crolla got beat up. It was a farce at the end of the third when everyone thought the ref stopped it. Lomachenko finished it in the 4th.

Pointless fight. I want to see Loma fighting Mikey Garcia or Gervonta Davis. He'd beat both btw, but it'd be interesting.

It's a pity Lomachenko wasn't born 10 years ago. Him fighting Manny in his prime would have been epic.

Anyone watching Crawford v Khan? Don’t think anyone has given Khan a chance in this one, and he was down in the first. He’s doing alright since though

I’ve heard for months that sky are majorly pissed off with matchroom. I bet last nights card didn’t help. The viewing figures must be minuscule as I cannot see Allan v brown pulling many people in.

It won’t help matchroom’s cause that Whyte v Rivas is PPV. What the fuck?

Not sure how that's going to work out for him, could be genius, could be a disaster. He's had a lot of success under him, but I think he's miffed about the Canello results. Which is probably fair as he won the first fight.

Abel Sanchez is a bit of a wanker, and I think Golovkin had become a bit too predictable of late.

Even though he won that first fight, I wasn't terribly impressed by Golovkin's work against Canelo. Over-reliance on the jab, and spend the entire two fights trying to find a winning headshot against Canelo, which is very very difficult. Didn't go to the body at all, and didn't show any versatility in terms of his punching repertoire, which was disappointing.

It’s crazy but if GGG had of landed a dozen body shots in either fight he’d have won the decision.

I still think judges massively underrate the jab.

I think it's a question of preferences of style and aesthetics. Had the fight been in the UK or Germany, GGG would have won. American judges tend to favour punching repertoire, flash, head movement etc., all which Canelo is excellent at delivering.

Wilder put Brazeale down in the first and then immediately says he’s in discussions about an AJ fight.

Brejazzle should be embarssed of himself, the fucking state of him for a professional athlete. Deserved to be banged out in the first round the cunt. Fair play to Wilder, smashed the donkey infront of him.

AJ fighting tomorrow night in the garden. The casuals are expecting an early knockout but I’d expect Joshua to finish around round 8.

The other Brits fighting on the card seem to be a bit meh. I shouldn’t expect any upsets.

I won’t be able to see by the time it starts so I’ll catch up with the fights on Sunday afternoon.

AJ fight should be boycotted by fans. He has no incentive to fight fury /wilder,as the money is flowing in fighting no marks.

All 3 of them should be. They’re all protective of their 0 and avoiding each other.
Fury and Wilder fought each other! Wilder has definitely tried to make a fight with AJ on several occasions, and Hearn has undervalued what Wilder brings to that fight, to the extent that I think its pretty clear he didn't want the fight.
