Big D vs Twitter

Oh, so they weren't Dominion machines in Georgia?

Not sure. Rosco is the best one to do the research as I dare not visit the websites he is prepared to.

I'd guess they probably were as Dominion seems to be the most popular machine used. Perhaps they were an older version of the machine, Georgia isn't as wealthy as the northern states, so they are probably using older models, and those lack the capability to implement a software glitch? It doesn't matter what the explanation is, as this case is about physically dodgy ballots being passed through into the count no questions asked.

Does anyone else read a lot of this recent stuff and think that old rich white men are starting to panic and making desperate big moves in an effort to not let it all slip away?

Is it racist to say that?

Problem is that Bernie and Biden though were 'old rich white men' ...

Racist? no clue ... Based on how I know you? No.

It's odd, having lived in NY during 9/11 ... seeing Guiliani like this just makes me sad. What happened to that leader? Such a fall.

The problem is you're reading bullshit. What is going on is:

You had initial cases long before the election claiming the procedures were unconstitutional. The courts didn't need to decide these.

On election day you had cases that said we're not being allowed to observe, stop the count! Those were dismissed as the count was already over, or an order was made to allow the observation, or the non-zero thing where there were actual observers there after all. Then more cases complaining about how far they were.

Then you had cases saying the votes shouldn't be certified, as we couldn't observe to check they followed the rules. These were dismissed as the court isn't going to fuck over thousands of voters because of a rule not being followed.

Then you had cases of a few hundred votes here and there that were specifically objected to. These were dismissed or withdrawn for various reasons.

Then you had cases trying to stop the county boards certification of the votes, because the proper rules had not been followed. A lot of these are ongoing. A lot have been dismissed. The general approach of the court has so far been "do you have evidence of fraud occurring as a result of these unconstitutional acts? No? Ok, well I'm not going to throw out thousands of votes based on a technicality" or in other cases "the deadline for certification is next week, there's no time to do this now, it's moot". These cases have been amended, withdrawn, refiled and brought by numerous plaintiffs, the fake news has no chance of following along regardless of their bias.

The next load of cases are trying to get injunctions to block the state legislator certifying the entire states votes. Like before, for an injunction you need to prove your case upfront. So chances are they will fail again, or maybe one state they'll flip, Michigan is a prime candidate given the Wayne county issue. The difference is with these cases they're starting to ask for discovery, for the paperwork and data to be handed over, and an expedited trial to happen before the state certification deadline. That data can be analysed mathematically to prove fraud. That's the only way to actually prove fraud in my view.

The final load of cases if he goes that far will not seek to overturn the election, but sue for damages. At that point there are no deadlines, the electoral college has it's instructions, game over. I suppose Big D could try to bribe the legislators, that'd be the only way he can remain president once he gets to this stage. Otherwise, it's a trial to determine damages. All the paperwork and all the data will be put on the table, all the witnesses from both sides will have to testify. Those dumps of Biden votes in the middle of the night will stick out like a sore thumb. Then it will be time to pay Big D a lot of fucking money.

Not all 'old rich white men' are horrible though.

I plan on being an old rich white man one day. No idea how I'll get the rich part, I've already nailed the white man part. I just need to live long enough to get the rich part.

Well I obviously am not suggesting it's all the old rich white men. That would definitely be racist.

I just keep having that thought, from this, to the great reset, to dantes posts about East vs West education.

I completely agree with you about Gulliani. It's fascinating to watch him now and think he's the same person that media convinced us was a sensible and great leader.

Did he change, or did the narrative change?

Interesting re: re-set. I think humanity hasn't changed much since 'day 1' - we just need to re-set how we approach each other. You know, be nice people. Do that, and we'll be ok.

I honestly have no clue what changed - but it's just such a fall.

It's what happens if you hitch your wagon to Trump. Graham is going the same way.

I was in New York for weeks here and there between 99 and 01 and everyone I hung round with thought he was a massive twat who took all the glory for stuff other people did, and was particularly vicious towards more vulnerable people.

I hate both of them equally.

4 years ago he was seen as one of the politicians with the most integrity. Best buds with John McCain.
Openly called Donald Trump a "xenophobic, race-baiting, religious bigot".
Now he is Trump's biggest defender in Congress.

A mighty mighty fall for him too.

I can believe that now. At the time, all we were fed via the media was how much of a hero he was. From broken windows to 9/11, he was held up as an example of leadership.

I actually attended a conference once which was all about the best leadership qualities and examples of humble servitude. They highlighted Mandela, and Guilliani.

Ultimately, being nice to each other is incongruous with how we define happiness and success in the current systems.

I'm sure lots of people in New York loved that he had a zero tolerance policy on homelessness (which involved shoving them out of the tourist bits, not actually solving anything) but I was hanging round with bleeding hearted snowflakes so they hated the fucker.

You're saying that because CNN agree with your broad political stance, and Fox do not, which gives an illusion of one being slightly more useful than the other. In reality they are both total garbage.

Nah. I'm saying that because I watch both with a level head and Fox has gone mad since Trump took office.

Both used to be about pure propaganda, the left vs the right. It was somewhat balanced. They were 2 sides of the same coin. I had time for hearing both sides of the argument. CNN hammered republicans. Fox hammered democrats. It was fair game.

But since Trump's appointment, Fox has fallen off a cliff in terms of irresponsible reporting. Now whilst I do believe Trump is "America first" (well, second really, after securing his own pockets first), and if I was an American looking to protect my wealth, I'd think his economic policies were far better than the Democrats economic, globalist, one world order agenda.
You see, I don't mind Fox reporting that, or some of their right wing points. Philosophical differences over policies is fine and should be encouraged.

But it's been much more than that these past 4 years. He's forced Fox, and the right-wing media in general, to look sooooo irrational and lunatic; constantly trying to back his ridiculous tweeting and then write the most speculative of narratives to make him look "presidential".

I've not seen CNN bend over for a democratic president in the same way that Fox have openly done for Trump whilst he's been in office. Like we always knew both channels were biased, but Trump really lifted the lid on it, made if very obvious that Fox were, willingly, his mouthpiece for propagating so much fake news and disinformation. Trump ushered in the "fake news/disinformation" era and I'm not sure we'll ever recover from it.

Before he got into office, they were reporting a lot more responsibly. When they didn't think he would win, and had backed Jeb Bush, they were calling out his BS. But then as soon as he they bent over and spread their cheeks. It's funny, that since he's been voted out, they look like they're slowly moving back towards the some form of responsible journalism. But the damage they've done may be irreparable.

As Republicans are no longer Republicans, they're Trump supporters, such has been the level of brainwashing by the Fox machine to paint him as the next coming of Jesus. These people are now so far gone, they're actually rejecting the same machine that brainwashed them in the first place, by calling Fox "fake news" because they're actually reporting some truth for a change. i.e. Joe Biden is the President-elect. It's like some delicious karma.

Fox viewers are jumping ship to watching NewsMax and OANN, because they're no longer getting enough fake news they want to hear from Fox. You couldn't make it up.

Giuliani and Fox News have both lost a lot of credibility in 4 years, hitching themselves to the Trump bandwagon.

Tucker Carlson with a 4 minute bit last night doing what he can to distance himself from Trump shows Fox know the short term gains they had from that shit are over.

There's a woman who Mrs Athens is friends with on facebook. She's American and lives in Louisiana, she used to teach English here in Greece, that's how my wife knows here. Anyway, before Obama V McCain election she was pro-McCain and metioning how much of a patriot and hero he was. Now she's a complete Trump lunatic, thinks there is no instituttional racism, Covid isn't that bad and that all Europeans are brainwashed.

OANN came up on my feed, I initially mistook it for a fan-made parody news show, but it has since grown on me. The lack of production value makes it come across like a local new station which seems more authentic. It's not hard to imagine them becoming very popular very quickly. Glad it's not my problem when it does though.

Also not likely to lead to any reprisals for the attempt. So unlike the one in Turkey, the trump supporters are free to, well who knows what they'll do but it won't involve "unity" and "coming together".

Is she also prepping? As in expecting the apocalypse, water shortages, fights over food and property, socialist government oppression? So stocking up on supplies, weapons, and obscene amounts of ammo.

To be honest, I actually find Trump's stance in this pretty funny.

He was a massive troll to Biden before the election. Couldn't imagine he'd lose. So much material about there about what he'd do if he lost to "sleepy Joe".. the man went as far as saying he'd leave the country lol.

Now he's lost, he's trying to state a little coup. First in court, then what? Will he bribe judges? Steal the election? That would make for fascinating viewing; stealing something you claim was stolen.

And his fans are going to lap it up. Maybe they'll take to the streets? maybe they'll pop off Joe Biden... With all the guns out there in America, it only takes one disgruntled loon (on either side) to do something stupid and there will be blood in the streets.

I dunno, I might have to find out. I wouldn't be surprised if she was.
