Trump won because of how poor tv news is in general, but coverage by shit centrist stations like msnbc, cnn, etc. of his rallies were easily as responsible as fox news. Fox news did however anticipate and contribute to a captured audience phenomena wherein the station radicalizes it's viewers into an entirely seperate reality. Cnn msnbc and others followed to compete.
