Best young left wing forward currently?

If we can only afford a "budget" player, would you be keen on taking a punt on any of the talented young left wingers that seem to abound these days?

Because of the FA ruling on quota, i guess we can only afford to buy English or foreigners younger than 21 that can already play for the first team. Keeping that in mind, would you buy a youngster?
 
I've never seen half of that lot play, so I'm going to go with Mata.

He's already doing the business in a top league at a top club.

Yeah, Mata and Di Maria are the stand out candidates.

Johnson's the Liverpool signing.

Can definitely forget about Angel Di Maria unless we have 25M AT LEAST to begin any serious negotiation.

Marko Marin, fucking ace little bastard.

However, seeing as he signed for Hannover in the summer, and can't transfer again until July 2010 (and we need a LW now) it's rather a moot point for this poll.
 
I've only seen a few of the games he's played in but I really like Niall McGinn, he's class and an absolute flying machine.

I've only seen him for N.Ireland but he's breaking into the first team at Celtic this season, and he won the Irish League Young Player of the Year award last season while at Derry.

Does that rule still hold though - about not being able to transfer twice in a season. How did Keane manage to go back to Spurs then? Can anyone clarify?
 
Marin went to Bremen, and I doubt he'll be going anywhere else in immidiate future. Great talent though.

It's been reported today Citeh have agreed a 36m fee with benfica for him. How the fuck are we ever going to compete for anyone in the future?

we have to work a lot smarter. Benitez can attract players who want to improve and further their career (cf Mascherano, Johnson) it's unlikely a player who has some control over their career would join the City circus

Suarez will cost loads of money as well. My impression of him was that he is more of a forward that can play out wide, but it's not his natural position. Is that wrong?
