Well, what a duplicitous, greedy lying cunt you are Garry Barry

The upside is that you've made yourself, and MONg, look very, very silly

Enjoy Europe

On your holidays, you lantern-jawed, boss-eyed cunt
Innit. I hope to fuck Villa KEEP citeh out of Europe next year.
Well,I don't.

Cock and Bull would be back here again talking about Liverpool being replaced by Villa.

Ahahaha

Poor the oncey, with his newly balanced midfield trio and left-footed player as one of the two defensive holding midfielders
Yup. Back to 3-1-6 we go!

Funnily I had just started to read some long drawn out waffle about how Barry would be better suited to us on RAWK the other day.

This has really painted Barry in a bad light and made cunts out of everyone at Villa.

They could've sold him for almost double last season and still achieved the "Europa League".

Good for us though (provided we keep Alonso) and City too I guess.

They're getting 12 million for him, and he's on his last year of his contract - Not bad considering Real Madrid got Owen for 8 million.

I don't think we've 'dodged' a bullet here here - but hopefully our 'lack of interest' (it certainly seems this way) is because we're set with CMs and we're focused on our real targets.

Pretty good signing for Citeh. However, I suppose that gives them a midfield of Barry and De Jong. Is that strong enough in a 442? hmmm

However, regardless of those losers, if it means Alonso staying, then thats me happy.

Also, they've sold to a direct rival as opposed to a team well above them.

What a joker - "I want CL football"...
I wouldn't have liked this move of his if I was a Villa fan.
Talking about Villa fans, I guess that puts the end on C&B's Summer visit of this site, and leaves us with no rival fans for a while...

You don't know if they would have qualified for the Europa Leauge without Barry this past season - for such a small squad, they needed his presence and leadership in the middle ... Fact is, they lost 6 million (we were probably offering around 18 million). not 12 as the BIIIG LETTERS imply

Made himself look like a right fool!

Decent piece of business from city, all the same.

What positon does Ireland play for them? Will he partner Barry in the middle?

If they persist with three in the middle, it'll be Barry, De Jong / Kompany (maybe move him into defence) and Ireland.

They'll probably have another 3 attackers to choose from by the time the season kicks off.

That's the way it'll probably pan out but where does that leave Fernandes, Johnson, Hamann, and Elano. They're decent-ish players to have rotting in the reserves.

Their Midfield, Striker and Goalkeeper are now top four material.

Elano is currently a squad player who can play out wide anyways, but he's long been rumoured to leave.

Fernandes isn't very good.

Hamann is on his last legs and will probablyleave.

Johnson hasn't been seen for a long time and is rumoured to be fat and out of shape after partying and what not.

I'm not really sure this changes the situation with Alonso

The Guardian are reporting :

"The 28-year-old has signed a five-year contract believed to be worth in the region of £100,000-a-week – more than double his current salary."

They'll regret that contract as much as the one they gave Bridge. Utterly ridiculous.

You're right, it doesn't effect it in the slightest.

I'm now curious as to who we would replace Xabi with if he does go? All along Barry has been the obvious answer, but now he's out the frame (thankfully), what happens if Chelski/Madrid come in with 25mill?

Perhaps not, but you gotta hope he stays.

Afraid would be a better word than curious. I rate Barry but I wouldn't have wanted to see him or any other realistic target replace Xabi.

And £100k a week for Barry is ridiculous.

I've had my fingers crossed for a month now.

I think Oncy got it right earlier, Martinez seems to be the target now.

it would be funny if under UEFA's licensing system their wage bill was too high so if they do make the CL, UEFA refuse them entry
