I don’t think VVD will need a rest against Newcastle, we’ll absolute dominate possession. I’d like us to rotate as little as possible given current league standings and go wholesale for the FA Cup. I understand the Robbo concerns tbf - maybe Milner at LB and Clyne at RB.

In an ideal world we'd give Robbo a rest - Guy looks spent and could well do with a day off. That of course gives you the Moreno conundrum. Easily our worst squad player. Thing is now is not the time to start nippers so I guess we have to deal with it. The Clyne, Milner idea is a good one but I would actually give Moreno the start. Not happily though. I'd also bring in Studge for say Mane or Salah. You can always bring them on if it 's going tits up around the 60min mark. The one good thing is it's at home so that a brucey bonus. I think Rafa is going to rotate too so I'm hopeful but not sold on the 3 points. One thing I do know is I'm going to be shitting bricks over the next 10 days.

I'm gonna trust Klopp. There have been about half a dozen times this season I've gone uh? And he's been right and I've been wrong. That said I expect he'll play a very strong side in the next few games. This period is pivotal and he knows it.

I am pretty sure Moreno will replace Robbo and to be fair his crosses and shooting are just as good as the current version of Robbo - who really does need a rest. It's Newcastle at Anfield. I know they are on the up and MOreno is a liability but he should be OK for this one when we should dominate possession.

Just tell him to run the other way when Newcastle are in our area.

You mean the Robertson who has been in pretty much everyone's top three of all the previous games before yesterday? Moreno isn't fit to sniff the steam off his shit.
I mean the one who has hardly put in a decent cross in two games and who looked well off his game yesterday. I get that everyone loves him and hates Moreno but let's not blinker ourselves. He needs a rest ready for Arsenal and City.

---------------------Allison-----------------------
Clyne------?????------Lovren------Robbo--
-------------------Henderson--------------------
-----------Milner------------Lallana------------
---------------------Shaqiri-----------------------
----------Salah-------------Origi----------------

Fabinho has become crucial pretty quickly, so I think he needs a bit of protection ahead of Arsenal and then City, same with VVD. I'd give Mane a hook too given his recent injury issues, but I think we need to replace his pace, so I'd give Origi the nod ahead of Sturridge. And of course Shaqiri deserves to start, he should have started yesterday.

Fab, I can't praise him enough. The way he wins the ball back and we are straight on the attack keeps the tempo high and we are so much more threatening. The most important thing is our midfielders seems to have resonate off him and have up their level to find the same tempo more consistently.

Can’t tell if this is taking the piss or not. Why risk dropping points after all the hard work getting to our current position?!!

Taking the piss mate.

It'll be something like,

Alisson

Clyne
Lovern
VVD
Moreno

Hendo
Gini
Shaq

Mane
Studge
Salah

There will be changes with the number of games and Arsenal and City coming up. This is the game to rest a few. Mane and Salah to come off when hopefully game is won.

Return to stronger side v Arsenal week after with milly at RB, Fabs in CM, Robbo at LB and Bobby back in

I suspect midfield for Arsenal will be the "let's twat them" high-energy trio of Hendo, Milner and Gini, which means for this game we could see Fabinho and (hopefully) Keita in CM alongside him. The injury didn't look serious and Klopp afterwards said Naby is fine. I think he will look much more convincing at CM than as a winger and Newcastle at home might be the right game to give him a chance in this position.

Failing that, I would like to see Fabinho and Hendo playing together again.

Agreed. I’d sooner play Clyne.

Just don't get it why Clyne is not played more often - against United he was like his old-self; United hardly got a look in with him in that position. Also I feel more comfortable with his defending than TAA's he is that good defensively.

I think it's about managing his fitness levels. He might not be ready to play back to back games. I can almost guarantee that he'll start against Newcastle though.

It’s about set pieces too. We had 13 corners or something against United without Milner and Trent and created fuck all. We scored after 2 set pieces against Wolves with Milner. It’s an important consideration, particularly if Moreno starts in place of Robbo too.

I’d happily see TAA rested to go all out vs Arsenal & City. Perfect game for Clyne to deputise again.

Am I the only one shitting bricks about this one?
Well it's not necessarily Newcastle who are scaring me, it's just that every fucking league game is like a cup final now.
City and Spurs breathing down our necks...
I'm losing it.
I'm sitting up late looking at fucking Craig Burley and co talk about our title chances. Next up Dion Dublin and Don Hutchinson...

Couldn’t be calmer. We’ll batter them.

Arsenal will be tougher.
