Banana and Benteke

At the beginning of the season I'd have taken that for Lallana, but now I'm not sure. Firstly, we don't need the money despite what anyone says, and secondly, he seems to really be progressing under Klopp, he was always a great player, but he never had much end product under Brendan, Klopp seems to have upped his game a notch and added goals and assists to his game, and I think that'll keep improving as next season goes on.

Interesting you bring up Navas, the guy has 7 assists in 23 league appearances but hasn't scored a single goal. In contrast, Lallana has 6 assists and 4 goals in the league this year so he's actually hit the "perfect 10'. I know who I'd rather have.

Yeah, his assist record is actually quite impressive, but his goal return is less so (1 goal each this season and last)

In 143 apps he's got 8 goals and 34 assists. Nasri has 26 goals in 170 apps.

Fucking yes to Benteke at 25 million.

No one would offer 20 million for Lallana though. I don't think you can even treat that as a hypothetical question. Also, I wouldn't want to sell anyone to Spurs. They can fuck off.

I totally understand the likelihood is that Lallana has a season or two at most left before a step decline at the end of which we get peanuts.

But I'm a big fan, so is the manager, he fits and works hard. I don't care about money we've wasted 20m more times than I can remember on players not fit to lace Lallanas boots.

So Robbie Keane, Andy Carroll , Markovic.
Is three times more than you can remember ?

We paid below £20 million for both Keane and Markovic.

I guess it's two or more from the following who aren't fit to lace Banana's boots:
Carroll, Lovren, Benteke, Torres, Suarez or Firmino.

Fair enough, but you're being a little picky. We spent more than 20m on them overall, if you include all the wages they got.

Seriously though, I know what you mean by "fit to lace Lallana's boots", but some of them despite not doing well here have had better careers than Lallana.

I’m usually not in favour of selling our better players as we usually replace them we shite.

Though hoping things may change under Klopp.......

What would klopp do with 25 million?

Maybe a nice beach house and a new car.

But most to savings for sure.
