Johnson Skrtel Sakho Flanno
end of discussion really...give them some consistency and we will have the first clean shite against Spurs after some 13 games or so

Spurs are shit. It doesn't matter who plays except Suarez. Coz he's going to run wild and get at least three.

We need LB, DM, CM, Winger, and striker. So what do you prioritise?

Since when did we start playing with "wingers"?

Why do we need another striker?

What's the difference between a DM & a CM in our system and why can't we make use of the 4 we already have?

Flanno - Skretel - Sahko - Johnson

Sterling-----Hendo-Allen----Moses

------------------Coutinho--------------------
-------------------Suarez----------------------

Do they still play Lennon on the right and an attacking midfield who drifts into central positions on the left?

If so, I'd be inclined to put Johnson up against the pacey winger with Sterling in front of him, Flanno and Henderson against the other one and have Lucas covering.

Skrtel and Sakho to keep their places for consistency sake. If we find ourselves under the cosh somewhat then two backs against the walls centre-backs might not be a bad idea.

When I've watched them this season (note that Lennon was out injured for ages but started the first match attacking from their right and although Spurs didn't play well Lennon was my MoM in that match) it seems like Townsend occupys that right hand side with Lennon being used more as an impact sub on the left. Maybe that was just a gradual reintroduction after injury though as I've not followed the last match or two.

Whichever flank Moses starts on is going to be under a lot of pressure defensively. Sterling, for all the criticism of his decision making up front, actually works pretty hard to help his full back defend, and is deceptively strong. Moses, on the other hand, doesn't want to shampoo his hair at the end of games and so doesn't really break a sweat to help out.

I'd hate to see us start Moses in this game. I really hope Ibe can convince Rodgers during training this week that he can pull a Flanagan and leapfrog the mediocre senior loan player and be given a start in this game.

I'll have a heart attack on sunday watching Flanno out on the left back again. Hope to fuck the lad steps up.

My worry for the Spurs game is our midfield shape. Let's see if Lucas and Allen can stifle them. Henderson to play ahead of them. His tireless running and closing down of space will be key.

Our defence is quite solid regardless of who plays but Sakho should get a start. We must cut out the silly errors and need a physical presence. No worries about our front (attacking) 4/5. We have goals in us but the other players need to step up too and add goals to their game.

Ibe is being overlooked but could be a gamechanger. Luis Alberto looks a decent player but this is not the game for him to start.

Moses should NEVER be in the team again, he has been a complete waste of space.

I don't know about never, OK bench option, but he certainly shouldn't start this one. I have no idea what DB is thinking because we are going to be doing a lot of chasing .. something we all know Moses is renown for ... not.

We've all been saying our midfield is weak. and needs strengthening.
We have 2 strikers one of which is injured, who would you play upfront if Suarez got injured now?

No Moses and we'll be fine. We need players willing to dig in and actually give a shit. Fuck Moses. Horrible footballer.

Aspas, Yesil.... any of the youths - we don't need to spend money for a third choice striker that will only play when all our strikers are injured.

We need to strengthen our attacking midfield - not by adding "wingers" though.
