We are really struggling to hold on to the ball in the middle, we're great on the counter and in the final third, but we're going to struggle to hold any possession with this midfield is seems, maybe Gini will be an improvement, but it doesn't bode well for us in Europe this year.
This about sums us up nicely.

I actually think we'll have enough to do reasonably well in Europe, but if we get past the quarters of the cl I'll be surprised, unless of course we get a very good central midfielder & maybe a quality cb.

Manè is boss. Back heel to Moreno crosses to Salah to head into an empty net.

Superb football. If Moreno plays like this, could he have a future here?
I like Moreno, I really do, but he's barely been challenged at the back, and thats where his problem is, pretty much all of Bayerns attacks have come down the right.

Interestingly when we defend Firmino heads right and Salah stays up top, is this a plan to exploit his pace on the counter / out ball?

Rafinha is a cunt isn't he? Second time he's kicked out cos he's a sore little cunt who can't handle being embarrassed by Mane.

That was a good half, the front four are playing very well.

But, I'm not sure we're going to learn amount from this game. We know already that we can compete with top teams that have more possession than us. It doesn't make me any more confident in our ability to not fuck up against average teams.

Moreno is such a threat when he wants to be , quick and incisive passing to utter mong in the flash of an eye , such a shame

This has been the first look at our new front 3, definitely liking what I'm seeing. Mane on the left and Salah on the right with Firmino linking things up in the middle looks really dangerous and Bayern's defense are all at sixes and sevens trying to deal with them. Coutinho has been quiet in the middle though and Can and Hendo misplaced passes too much.

The only downside from this match so far is that Rafinha is evidently trying his best to kill or cripple Mane – literally. To be fair, Trent is trying to do the same to Ribery – I think Klopp's "defends like a boy" phrase has stuck in his mind and he's trying to prove otherwise and going a little overboard at times. Looks good in attack though, as does Moreno. Enjoyable game.
