Arsenal vs Man City

Defo a city win. As you say, to dump more shit on Arsenal and to piss the Scum off further also.

City win.

For the rest of the season I would like City, Spurs, Chelsea and of course us to win every game.
Its Arsenal and United that we need to oust.

Gonna be a wee bit of a problem when City play Chelsea! 😉 but I get your point.

I hope Everton don't capitulate against Manure ...

What the hell happened to arsenal fan tv? Robbie has left. For fuck's sake the season is over for me now.

Does third place go straight into the group stages?

If so I want draw today and draw midweek.

Disagree. Having the qualification match would be a useful exercise for us. We're bound to waste average money on half a dozen shit players, and start the season with misplaced optimism. A poor performance in the qualification match might spur us into panic buying a couple of good players before it's too late.

Might. We were in obvious need of reinforcements in January and fuck all happened then. Since then, we've seen 2 rumoured targets agree deals with other clubs. I'm afraid if we panic buy, it'll be more of the likes of Aspas and Lazar rather than actual top targets.

This is exactly the kind of mentality that gets big teams knocked out. It won't be the first time and it won't be the last. Minimum 3rd will do nicely thank you.

There is a Wenger Out protest today - i wonder if Sky will pick up on it. Would love to see a big City win here. Arsenal are imploding and it will help whittle down the shortlist for Top 4 down. United will struggle without Ibra/ Mata/ Pog so we need another to also start falling off the pace quickly.

Ibrahimovic has now served his suspension and will no doubt bang in 5 when Everton roll over against them. They just love to try and fuck up our season.

I will love to see them try and we pip them by goal difference on the last day.

I really don't fucking know.

I'm edging towards draw, then city win, then arsenal win in order of preference.

Tbh, it's kind of a nice problem to think about.

If all the games in hand were played today & all teams won maximum points then we'd likely still be fourth on goal difference (hard to say for certain but we have a four goal buffer so likely). I think anyway, was bleary eyed when I worked that out this morning having just woken up.

There's much worse positions to be in at this stage.

Thinking about it, and being realistic, our chance for some CL footy wiill possibly be by getting 4th. 3rd and upwards will be to tough.
We need to get as much of an advantage on the teams chasing us from 5th and 6th.
City are in a better position than us and winning against Arsenal would see us increasing our lead against Arsenal.

City win. But with loads of red cards and a fight between Pep and Weeeenger.

Probably a draw is best but that's hedging. If we come 4th then we have early qualification matches and we start the season a month earlier than most. That can be good but of course there's always a flip-side to that, with an extended season.

Therefore 3rd (or better) would be great and for that we will need to need to overcome City who are more likely to go on a good run that Arsenal. So therefore maybe an Arsenal win would be second preference.

The CL play off 1st leg was on the 16th of August this season 🙂

Not sure here. However a good Arsenal result would make the Wenger out campaign look just as pathetic as it really is..
