According to reports in Russia, Anzhi are cutting their budget significantly. Most of their star players have been made available for transfer. However they are trying to sell them for "market" prices at the moment, no big discounts yet.

I wonder if we can snap Willian...

I don't watch Russian Premier League any more, but from what I read, Eto'o hasn't been playing too well for Anzhi. Probably he treats them as a place of comfortable retirement.

I don't think it's feasible for us to go after players who Anzi paid an inflated fee for(Willian), or are known for being on outrageous wages (Eto'o), but they do have some talented players who we could use.

More like a backwater to grit your teeth and bear it until you can bank the paycheques and piss off back to Monaco.

Dagestan isn't on many people's top ten places to live ..... Is it?

The whole team lives and trains in Moscow. They fly to their "home" games in Dagestan by a private jet.

I am only interested in Willian from that lot. He is in Coutinho talent bracket - world class potential. And I think we can get him for roughly the Costa or Mkhitaryan money. Him and Mkhitaryan were clearly the 2 best players in Shakhtar.

Traore will likely stay in Russia, but I don't think Willian will be willing to switch to yet another team in Russia after what happened in Anzhi.

I would be very surprised if Willian is available at a decent price though, considering what Anzi paid in January. I guess it depends if the owner really wants to cut his losses with the club.

Anzhi will try to sell all big name players within the next few days. This is all developing very quickly, the news was announced this morning, by the afternoon they have already appointed their old coach (the one who was managing Anzhi before they became rich) and Kerimov met with players to reassure them that all money owed to them will be paid. I don't think they are in a strong bargaining position, everybody knows they HAVE to sell. If Ayre gets on the plane to Moscow right now and offers them €30 million (same money we were prepared to spend on Mkhitaryan), I think we'll have a deal. Maybe even €25M could do it.

BTW, Lacina Traore is likely to move to Zenith for around €9M.

How has he progressed since his Shaktar days?

He looked very talented but still with a ways to go to becoming a genuine star. At 24, is he now really worth 30M in a top class league?

First of all, how did you watch it? I would imagine trying to find a stream of a Russian premier league game is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
I think rurik is Ukrainian. I'd imagine the Russian league is televised in Ukraine.

Best streams for our games are always in Russian, so I wouldn't be too surprised to find some excellent RPL streams

Spurs are "preparing an offer for Willian" according to Russian media. Rodgers, wake up!
