Aha...new PR occasion for Poroshenko.
The government better be checking the violation of the price rates that just joing this free couch movement for PR 😡

Agree. Sobolev actually hosted refugees in his apartment before, so while it is a PR move of sorts, he being an opposition MP has far more credibility with this than Poroshenko, who is actually in charge of the government whose job it is to make sure that the price-gouging isn't happening in the first place.

+ there still normal property owners with normal prices for CL (50-100 Euro\person per night)

Anyway there is another situation not many fans know about - somebody just booking every property by normal price and where you don`t need prepayment on every international websites and don`t answer additional questions, don`t pick up the phone...I think this people won`t show up at all and property owners will earn 0! and fans will be forced to rent more expensive property as they won`t have another option.

The couch flash mob thingy is great. However I expect pretty much every sad lonely psycho in Kiev has also signed up. There’s gonna be some stories.

Given the time the match will finish I’m just going straight back to the airport for my return flight at midday on Sunday. Better that than risk a night with the Kiev Ripper.

We are just going straight the airport after the match, our flight back is at 5am so don’t need a hotel really.

Has anybody heard anything about people who were successful in the ballot not taking up their ticket? A quick Twitter search suggests most are trying to flog theirs for £000s. Starting to worry that 110th on the waiting list might not be enough...

I'd try calling the club tomorrow afternoon to see if they can update you on where the list is at.

Remember they only sent the emails late Friday, ticket office hours are Mon - Fri, so even if a thousand handed them back they wouldn't have been able to even run a quick check over them & get them out to the waiting list yet. I'd be amazed if they can do it by end of play tomorrow.

There's no way they trust that to an automated system only.

Cheers mate...I’ll make that call!

Out of 100, where 1 is I’ve got no chance and 100 is I’m guaranteed, how would you rate my chances?

I'd say 90.

That's just based on a couple of posters on rawk in the thread about this seasons ticket ballot saying they got tickets for Basle in 07 when they were near 1000 on the list.

There's got to be more than 110 fans who have been decent enough to give tickets back. Definitely. I'd be gobsmacked if not.

I fully understand your worry. A lot of people will take their ticket and flip it for good money. But 110 is a real good number in such a queu. Should be allright certainly?

Someone asked a very similar question to the lads over there who have been on waiting list before:

That's exactly what I thought we would happen.

Touts we know also said that they are expecting the price to drop over the coming days as people who hadn't booked travel realise they can't get there.

According to Twitter(!) there are loads of tickets still unsold so the waiting list might run deep...
