Anyone going to Kiev...

We got one out of five. All Kemlyn rd season tickets, at the corner with the Annie Rd

Spoken for I'm afraid

Just booked flights...now waiting on 110 dropouts.
Try not to panic if you get a notice saying they've all sold out. Dunno if they've changed the system since but if not you will.

The people on the waiting list for Basle got the waiting list email. Then got an email saying all sold out/allocated. Then got an email saying they had been successful.

So if the ticket system is the same now its quite possible they'll need to do the same thing.

Serious note though. It’s fucking shit and somethings going wrong. Maybe I’m biased but for the locals I have spoke to, 1 ticket out of 20.

Woland the same.

Someone else the same.

Where the fuck have they all gone? Athens was exactly the same.

If I hadn’t managed to jam 3 from work (corporate hospitality tickets so I had them Wednesday) then our group would be fucked. £280 a pop mind you, and woland has them to take his two lads, that’s boss cos there’s nothing better than watching it with your lads.

Anyways, I’m fucking fuming. Something isn’t right here.
As I said earlier we got 1 out of 27 - if you live local you didn’t get one

Think he means in the league.

There's fans with season tickets who've been to every away domestic but only the 6 home cl ties yet they get thrown in with the lads who have members cards & only went to 6 cl home games.

Hardly seems fucking fair like.

Ahhh sound, yeah totally agree.

Shit all round.

Something really stinks about this and supporters need to agitate for answers. The odds to actual success ratio amongst local reds is a massive statistical anomaly.

Yep it’s fucked up. Loads of out of towners sit by me in the centenary, I’m gonna ask about tomorrow and see who got what.

3 out of about 80 for me, da huge and woland. Doesn’t seem right.

If they have really sifted the ballots and weighed things in favour of people outside Liverpool this could be explosive. It would need to be someone high up the chain of Lizards to be making that call.

Good to know, thanks mate.

Why would they try and lower the amount of locals getting tickets?

What would be the benefit for the club?

I don’t know. It’s just fucking weird.

Unless me, Woland and da huge just know some very unlucky people.

Fuck knows. But it does seem like locals got a lot less than 1 in 3. A shitload less.

I know locals find it harder to get league tickets cos they allocate tickets to registered fan clubs automatically.

Every European game this gang of lads from Belgium come over, and they're sound as fuck like, but I think they get the option of 20 odd tickets for every match even though they're just a small overseas supporters club. So yeah, maybe that kind of shit has happened

Yep. Pete used the supporters club spares to get me match tickets on a few occasions back when I could afford to go as they just allocate them out.

Using the same logic combined with the fact they've published figures about how much non locals fans spend compared to locals & you'd have to assume they prefer to keep non local fans sweet.

We spend less in the club shop and the ground

Yeah, that's true but this game isn't bringing money into Anfield or Liverpool. I know it's better for the club to keep the traveling support sweet but it doesn't make any sense to skew it for this game.

No it doesn't. And they mightn't have. But anecdotally, hardly anyone I know got sorted. Will ask around at the ground tomorrow.

Not really, but it does mean those fans arent gonna be pissed off & possibly tainted about coming over next season by the experience... Local fans may be, & if just a few percent of them fuck it off & non locals take their place match day revenue would go up.

Cynical as fuck maybe but hard to imagine why locals seem to have a 1 in 30 success rate otherwise.

I wondered as well whether OOTs and foreign reds are more likely to be middle class. Lessening the scally count and the potential for a negative impression of the 'brand'. That's maybe with my tinfoil hat on but it occurred to me.

Not at all mate, it's a fair point if we're considering possible reasons the club may have to skew the ballot.

If that was the theory then it would make a lot more sense to have the locals in the ground than in pubs around it.

I'm sensing they may have weighted it towards supporters clubs, but they may have been obliged to. Just guessing though.

Yeah, but you're using logic and the knowledge that people will travel without tickets. These twats (if we were to indulge my theory) are thinking (and are strongly advising) that no ticket means you don't go to Kiev.

The same idiots who sold the Anfield big screen out before they did the ballot. Who said don't book flights until you have a ticket when there are already no flights left.

It's like they had a sales prevention office in charge of this final.
Yeah. That screening thing was a joke.

Surely any sensible idea would be to do the ballot then give unsuccessful fans a link to that. Meaning Anfield gets more of the regulars in the ground & those fans arent left without tickets to watch it anywhere as many of them now will be..

Or get the tickets then can't get their flights cos they're sold out meaning they're returned or sold on.

It's just bizarre.
