I desperately want Liverpool to sign a quick winger. Nzogbia, Young, Jarvis don't care.

The way I see it is Suarez and Carroll = Torres + Babel.

Definitely a swap that boosts our squad and first team.

We've hopefully got TWO new forwards who handed in transfer requests because they wanted to come to us. They are who one of our finest managers ever WANTS to sign and who are new board are HAPPY to bankroll.

Carroll didnt wanna come, then spoke to Kenny & FSG reps & changed his mind. That's some selling technique theyve got. Also means we must have ambitious plans in the summer.

I'm not moaning about these players; I'm moaning because if the figures are right our 3 players cost 72 million pounds.

I'd rather have seen the club spend that kind of money on other players, s'all.

(I'm just hoping the figures aren' right)

Official statement as in statement to press I presume. The one on their official website is just a news item. Anyway, news about it breaking the british record is reported everywhere now.
