I'm simply asking a question. Kenny hand picked Carroll. We may have wanted some exotic named continental player but we didn't get one for various reasons e.g timing, price, availability etc. Take your pick.
£35M + add ons is crazy but let's give the lad a chance and see what he can do. In a season or 2 this may look like a bargain buy!

We don't have the kind of gaping hole in our midfield that Torres' departure would leave up front.
