Fuck it. Dont care what you all say about him being over valued and all that...I say: He's going to be a hit for us!
Or he'll become the next Collymore.
Which is more less a hit and miss. We at least got our money back.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

It'll be to do with Caps and stuff like that, will prob only be 20 Million up front.

How much did Scum pay for Rooney?
£49mill in real terms today's market..

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

In isolation it looks nuts but if you look at other fees and our particular situation its palatable. We are set for the short and long term up front with Suarez and Carroll. They will outscore Nandough over the next five years and combined present less of an injuryrisk than Torres. Torres is massively overvalued at 50m too.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

2008/9 EPL 5 starts (9 sub) for 3 goals (0 assists)
2009/10 Championship 33(6) - 17(8)
2010/11 EPL 18(1) - 11(3)
None of this is 'great' for us Avvy. Torres leaving is bad for us, we know that. I think are owners are trying to show some ambition although we're being ripped I agree. The fucking moaning out of people when spend money is amazing seeing as all we did is moan when we didn't.

It's a situation we cannot win.

Torres leaving - lose
Torres £50m - slight win
Andy Carroll - win
Andy Carroll for £35m - lose
Owners spend - lose
Owners dont spend - lose
Show ambition - lose
Show no ambition- lose

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

carroll is massively overrated, i think he would be a gamble at 10 million never mind 35 million. I cant believe we are going to pay that much, i really dont want it to happen, i would rather wait until summer and sign someone else. It would have been better to get anelka, sturridge and 35 million from chelsea.

Carroll, excellent purchase. Overpriced? Yes. But who cares. Rather him than some other twat for 20 mill that Kenny doesn't want.
Well in Hansern.

I'd have preferred Lukaku (on a hunch) but I think Carroll will turn out to be a monster for us and perfect foil for Suarez.

Now for the wingers...

Anelka is past it (did you watch him against the blue shite?) and Sturridge is a cock. Cash only was the only option really. Whether we're spending it wisely, or rather getting value with it, is very questionable I agree. Carroll has huge potential though if he can get his head right.

But how are we showing ambition if we buy Carroll for 35 million pounds?

Can you imagine Comolli offering 20 million for Benzema next season?

Or 15 million for Defour?

They'll first laugh at us, then tell us to put another '1' in front of the initial offer.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

I'm fucking fucking upset. 35 Million for this piece of garbage? He's always injured, and he's not our standard.

Fucks sake, go for Llorente ot Aguero or someone else of decent skill level. The fella is the white heskey. ONE good season. COME the FUCK ON. It's panic bying..

And if it costs 35 to bring in a replacement WHY ON EARTH are we only asking 50 for the world's best strikers. It should be 70.

Why are we screwing ourselves?

Are these business owners or community fucking organizers in charge.

And I never fucking swear on these boards.

I wouldn't, no.

Besides, Carroll is actually a quality striker with loads of potential.

It's a shame Torres wants to leave, but we have to do the best we can with this situation, and this appears to be it.

It's a gamble, but we have to make one.

rub.salt.wound. Steve Clarke's here and he ain't giving his input? This is madness. Fuck this. Force Torres to stay. Deal with this shit situation in the next transfer window.

Carroll is a step in the right direction no doubt. But not as much as Torres leaving is a step in the wrong one however.

Add Suarez to the mix and we're certainly on par with Torres leaving, perhaps even with a slight advantage to Suarez and Carroll.

That means, if Young and/or Adam is also on their way this transfer-window will be an epic win.

I don't really care much for the fees as it's not my money beeing spunked and as the market has gone bonkers this Janaury already Carroll isn't even that over-prized. Whenever I've seen him he's been very good and he's still quite young. Normally a player we wouldn't come anywhere near really at this stage.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

This how the market looks today.

We are paying too much for Carroll, but what would you expect us to pay. Do you think Newcastle would just let him go, for the £15-20 Million he's worth?

It's a gamble of course, a big gamble but I don't think we have a choice. And this is all Torres fault, choosing this window to act like a bitch.

Fucks sake. Torres wants to leave. All he would do is fucking sulk for the next 6 months. He'd be WORTHLESS to us. he's got form i.e. the last 18 months

I highly doubt the £35 million anyway

I really like Carrol but for that money!! we had no choice but.... fucking hell..... Torres really really fucked us over... fuck him... i truly hope he does his hamstrings again real bad and real soon and dissappears forever from our shores... what a complete fucking cunt way to behave.

truly disgusted by all this...

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

All this bitching and moaning for what?

Carrol is no Aguero or Llorente and we paid a premium, so what?

Do you presume to know better than King Kenny? Seriously?

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

It's time for LFC to show some bollocks and not flap around like a fish out of water.

The next 24 hours could define NESV for a very long time.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

Carroll is not shit -> 10 EPL goals already this season

Carroll is not perm injured -> did not miss a game last season and has played the majority of this

However £35M - OMG.

As many have said - MASSIVE gamble - I sort of like him but £35M ....

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

As someone pointed out, correctly, as good as Carroll may be, he's still very raw and there are big fucking question marks over his mentality to succeed at a club where expectations will be much higher.

He doesn't want to be away from newcastle.

He'll probably flop, and well end up punting him on for under £10m in a few years.

That's such a stupid attitude.

Re: Andy Carroll - ASKING PRICE MATCHED

Torres isn't fucking us over, we're fucking ourselves. We could do what united have done, and others. He's not for sale. And privately talk him around or ask him for another season. Wait till the summer and then buy when the market is more settled.

Fucks sake. Grow some Balls Commolli, Kenny and Co. A gamble would be bringing in a goalscorer with no PL experience. But taking a lad who has one half good season for three times his value, is reckless.

I'm leaving these boards, if this madness continues. It's so obvious we don't have a Managing Director. They are making silly silly decisions that are damaging the club

it wont be 35 mill up front..

My guess it will be a Rooney type deal with add ons making it up to £35 mill
Depending on appearances, champs league qualification etc..
I doubt whether it will be full of add ons around us winning the PL (laugh/cry)
