Ryan. RyanRyanRyan.

*shakes head*

A big worry will be that the press will be watching his every move. Big money transfer, you just know they're waiting for his first fuck up, on or off the field.

Meh. Just like Crouch. And he turned out an OK player. Besides he doesnt strike me as someone who'd be arsed. nor Kenny

I meant in terms of him fucking about, a bad foul or going on the lash.

He's one of the most exciting striker in the league this season, I'm glad that we signed him (not at the price though)

Lads that look like Carroll were always shit at footy in the school playground.

You know the type. Lanky long haired lads who would stand at the back, usually in a denim metallica jacket, just talking with their mate then boot it as hard as they could whenever it came near them.

Carroll will do well. The fee is ridiculous though, hopefully, for your sakes, he doesn't fold under the pressure. I think Suarez could have a massive impact on how this works out...if Suarez can get plenty of goals there wont be as much pressure on Carroll. He'll be praised for doing donkey work, winning headers and just being a nuisance. That wouldn't be the case if he was replacing El Cunt outright as your only striker. Of course he'll still need to score a few though! Good luck to him, cant wait to see them playing together.
Cheers NG. a gentleman as always.
If it wasn't for a cunt of a gooner fan I work with I would want you to win the title this season.

Nah, scrap that I do want the gooners to win it this year.
Followed by Man city, Spurs, Man U and chelski.

Andy Carroll premier leauge goals so far! Newcastle N0.9
11 goals: 5 headers, 4 left foot, 2 right
so whats his actual injury status?
Thigh Muscle Strain out for 2 months.

he'll be ready for Chelski.
I don't understand why people are claiming he'll be ready for Chelsea like it's a sure thing. Has he even started training again yet? And even if he has is it safe to assume that he'll be starting for a new club with new ideas after only a handful of training sessions? He certainly won't be match fit, that's for sure.

Got this from a Newcastle forum, looks quite credible.
Kinda makes me feel a bit sorry for them. It's more or less the opposite of what happened with El Cunt. Still doesn't explain the transfer request though.

------------------------
This is incredible

I have known Andy Carroll for 6 years and he is a great lad. A Newcastle fan at heart and someone who dreamt of wearing the NO.9 shirt at St James. He was proud to follow in Alan Shearer footsteps.
I was with him with my mate Chris Liddle after the Sunderland game and he was adamant that he was staying and that a move did not interest him. Yesterdays events happened so quickly and I was stuck in the maelstrom of one of the biggest transfers in British history.

This wasn\'t a set up. These texts have been made public with Andy\'s permission and I\'m happy to help my mate. I have helped set up his only interview which will break later today.Ask yourself what you would do in Andys position? A club that has already said they intend to buy young players and sell on at a profit. Football is a short career and you have to look after yourself in this world.

This move was not engineered by Andy. He is a small cog in a big wheel. He is a rising star with a bigger pay packet now. As a fellow Gateshead lad I wish him all the best and will welcome him back to Newcastle anytime. I hope other fans will do the same. Good luck mate.

Here is a transcript of the texts that i made and received.

Sunday 30th January 14:37

SW: Are you leaving mate?
AC: I\'m not going anywhere mate.

Monday 31st January 16:28

SW: Liverpool in for you mate. Any truth in that?
AC: Dunno what\'s happening yet still mate. Thanks.

17:02
SW: Sky Sports say it\'s a matter of time mate. What\'s club said?
AC: they have kind of said we don\'t want u but want me to say I wanna go. And I said I don\'t want to go.

17:26

SW: Have you put in a transfer request?
AC: No I didn\'t that\'s what I mean that\'s what they wanted me to do and I said no.

17:27

SW: So they want you to go?
AC: They said they wanted to accept it.

17:28

SW: So you have no choice?
AC: Looks like it.

17:31
SW: Your agent will be doing ok out of this. When you going?
AC: I don\'t know mate. Gutted tho.

17:32
SW: Any message you want put across to the fans? I\'m happy to do that for you mate.
AC: They said they wanted the money.

17:37

SW: Anything else?
AC: Gutted to be leaving Newcastle but I was kind of pushed out the door.

17:41
SW: That it?
AC: Just what i\'ve just said really. Gutted to be leaving my home club but I was practically told to go. Didn\'t want to leave that\'s why i signed a 5 year deal.

17:47
SW: I will pass these onto the press lads I know.
AC: Sound mate.

17:56
SW: Can you give press lads a call to do an interview when deal done?
AC: I will yeah. I will speak to him later. Bit busy atm mate.

If that's true, I feel more sorry for us - we paid 35M for someone that doesn't want to be here.

Exactly yet people are calling the two the same. Look, we all know Carroll was a diehard Geordie fan and it must have hurt him massively to leave the club he loves. But at Liverpool, both club and city, we make people welcome and that's what we'll do. I think he has tons of character on the pitch and that's what matters but he'll learn to love LFC too - as anyone with a footballing soul does.

Yeh quite, whats the point of signing someone who isn't interested? I find it hard to believe he wouldn't be interested in joining a club like Liverpool, and newcastle isn't that far away really, well compared to what it could have been.

That's one way of looking at it Keni. There's a difference between not wanting to leave the club he supported as a lad to not wanting to be here though. I think, for him, it's probably the best destination he could come to.

he is young and a big geordie supporter, it will be no different to when Gazza left them. He will be fine in a few days with the squad.

It just shows he is a decent lad and not a money mad shite.

Still cannot believe the things El Nonce has been saying, Sunday is going to be hideous if we lose and he scores.

But just think how amazing it will be if they lose and Suarez scores. I am both relishing it and dreading it at the same time.

I can understand that he wouldn't have wanted to go but its not in his interests to not put the performances in for us is it?

Current positions aside, we are one of the biggest clubs around, we have owners with ambition and we will be challenging for trophies. If he does well for us he'll have more chance of winning things and more chance on an international level. Isn't that what all footballers want?

Personally as long as he scores a lot of goals for us I don't care that he is and will remain a Newcastle fan, just like I doubt Blackburn fans cared much when they had Alan Shearer scoring 20 odd goals a year for them

Andy Carroll didn't wanna leave Newcastle but he is more than happy to be playing for Liverpool under Kenny. So different from the Torres saga.

So he supports someone else. Surely that's a good sign. I mean Carra, Fowler, Dalglish, McMahon etc.

He'll smash a barstool in your face Carroll, Carroll
The Policemen sprayed him with their mace Carroll, Carroll
We bought the boy for 30 mill,
The other 5's his barbers's bill
He's Andy Carroll - Liverpool's number 9!!

I have seen Newcastle a fair bit this Season. Often a rather amusing team to watch for several reasons.

And Carroll has been very good in every single game I've seen.

Not only does he score goals he's also setting his team-mates up nicely. And he's a proper footballer too.

The fee is steep and there's a lot of pressure on his rather massive shoulders however I've got an extremely good feeling about him. Perhaps not El Cunt-class from the off (obviously) but alongside Suarez there's a good chance they'll, alongside Gerrard, chip in more than the ol' Gerrard - El Cunt combo.

I'm excited.

Oh and I can't wait to see Suarez hit a freekick against Stoke come Saturday. He's got a mean, bending kick I tell you.
Aye its going to be exciting alright.

You might have a bit of a wait to see one of his free kicks though if Gerrard has anything to do with it

Thats actually quite good.

I don't know whether the angry fire in me has died but in the cold light of day I'm beggining to think that this hasn't turned out to badly at all. Whilst it is a shame that he who shall not be named left in such a shabby classless fashion it shouldnt distract us from what actually has been quite a constructive window, bitter feelings aside i think its fair to say that we are indeed stronger personell wise than we were yesterday. You can imagine Suarez being a creative striker and good finisher a la Robbie, and Carroll does have bags of strong pacy awkward to defend against potential.

Nah ... sorry Abramovich but...

I think we won yesterday.

I really really hope we fuck them over at the weekend.... it would be sooooo ironic if they failed to make the champs league.... almost poetic even.

Two good players up one moody cunt down.

BOUNCE.

can someone on this forum explain something which has been puzzling me about this transfer... How the hell does someone with a torn thigh muscle pass a medical?

very funny.

I don't think we should keep that tune going with just new lyrics, it reminds us too much of you know who. Carroll deserves his own tune
