Andy Carroll - Liverpools Number 9.

Obviously a massive transfer window for us.

Its horrible to feel so shitty at the end of it :-(

Looking forward to seeing Suarez playing for us. I think he'll be our new striking hero for the next few years.

I've just been watching his goals this season and he is incredibly strong in the air. If we get Adam and big Andy is regularly getting on the end of his deliveries then I doubt anyone will care how much we paid.

I can't get that excited about signing a guy that hits women.
Please stop it, cos I'm really really trying to get on board with this signing. In reality we've paid *far* too much for someone who is undisciplined, loutish and a thug. And I honestly want to cry when I think about what that money could have brought us.

But he's here now, so as far as I'm concerned, we gotta get behind him.

why would you prefer llorente? carroll will be brilliant, i reckon.

Let's be honest, if Roy had proposed spending nearly £50m on Carroll & Adam you'd have had him sectioned. Like Jon (Spion) says, there are some very short memories around. I hope to be proved wrong, but I'm far from elated.
I'm with Vantage (although I'd have Roy sectioned anyway)

He will. Isn't it dependent on a work permit which comes through tomorrow?

Mind you, as much as a young exciting partnership of Carroll and Suarez sounds. I bet Chelsea fans will be wanking feverishly at a partnership of Drogba and Torres (like how we would, if the shoe was on the other foot).

Anyway, fuck them. Let's hope he turns out to be their next Sheva (if Nandough picks up anymore injuries which affect his pace, he'll be on the Sheva route for sure).

From the BBC

"Tottenham came close to nicking Andy Carroll off Liverpool, but the striker wanted to join Liverpool as soon as it became
clear that Newcastle would sell him."

Walking about in a t-shirt in this weather. HARD AS NAILS.

God i hope we get a player in who can get the ball in the box. IM FUCKING SOOOOO EXCITED.

*breathes in a bag*

A Drogba-Torres partnership sounds droolworthy when you first hear it, but I don't think they will partner very well at all. Firstly, The Traitor never partnered well with anyone to begin with, and Drogba isn't one to just do the donkey work for another striker and be happy with himself. I am going to go ahead and be the first to go down with the ship re: Torres and Drogba on the pitch together won't work.

this was his pitch to carroll

Harry Redknapp watching Tottenham Hotspurs

Appaz Spurs made a like for like offer but as soon as Carroll heard we were in for him he wanted to join us.

That's nice.

I'd sponk 30 of it to get Andy Carroll. I don't mind that he's a bit rapey, we could have 10 years of the best English striker for ages.
I'm happy

I think everyone needs to stop thinking about the money to start with.
We have done what big clubs do , its nice I like it, we identified a player that fits what we want, and on paper I think Suarez and Carroll are made for each other, and if Kenny thinks he is the right man who are we to argue, gone out there and done the fucking deal with no fucking about. Same with Adam apart from that daft initial offer. If anyone does not believe we are significantly stronger now than on Friday morning you need your bumps feeling by my calculations , if you want to talk money, with Babels money it has cost us £14m. Torres Great player on his day, but a whiney wingey one when it was not going for him, and made out of glass . Viva la revolution

I have an autobiography if anyone wants to buy it? It's called "Fernando Torres: El Nino", RRP £18.99.

Goes into great detail of how magnificent Liverpool and the fans are, and how wonderful Kenny Dalglish is. Contains lots of posing pictures looking at Liverpool greats.

Only read once, does have a whiff of shite though.

Any offers considered, I mean why the fuck would anyone want it? Might try the Chelsea forum, but it's 90% Liverpool...

I agree, old lad. The alternative is being woefully short of firepower for the remainder of the season but with plenty in the kitty, a kitty that is absolutely useless for the next four months.

We were so over-reliant on G and T as well.
Sell T and buy two 25 million strikers who are good enough is good footballing sense and good business

I've only got Fowler, Gerrard and Carra's.. Glad I didn't jump onto Fernando's..

Planning on getting Kenny's when the 'updated' edition comes out about his return to Merseyside.. I had to stand in Waterstones and read the 'extra' few chapters added onto God's book about his second coming..

I hope the case is that we've only paid about £25mil and the rest is possible add ons. Then I'd feel much better about the whole thing.
