I think he's a decent player - he's got decent technique, good awareness and footballing brain - but I've yet to see any genuine evidence for the faith he seems to inspire in people.
I can only surmise that it's because he's already here. If he was performing at the same level at another club, would people advocate signing him?
That said, now that he's here we're better off keeping him. He's still young(ish) and there is room for improvement given that he's not without talent. We are limited by the amount we can spend, unless Suarez is sold, and Rodgers seems reasonably happy with what he's got in that department and is more concerned about other areas, so the arrival of some rockstar midfielder seems unlikely.
