Alexis

Cost 35 million quid.
What a fucking bargain.
He's fucking gifted on the ball, but he's an argie pitbull defensively and harasses opposing players non-stop.
What a key cog in this run.
My Man U supporting friends are livid.
I keep hearing "how can Liverpool find Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Sloboslai (sic) while we can't find one decent one?"

you've created a world class midfield for 120 million quid?
that's just fantastic business.
with Jones being 'free' and Endo for what, 15 million quid? That's a really really good midfield
(though we need another one to give these guys a breather unless Slot really rates McConnell)

I think Ward played a key role in securing Mac Allister. Given that we were able to sign him without competition, it’s likely that the deal had been in the works for a long time.

There was never much doubt that he’d succeed here. He was consistently impressive for Brighton, had broken into an excellent Argentina side, and won a World Cup along the way. Even so, he’s been a fantastic signing, and you have to admire his tenacity and work rate—especially given that he’s not the most physically gifted. Despite not being a natural fit, he did a solid job at the six last season and gave it everything.

Right now, he’s doing a lot of the hard graft in midfield, but he’s exceptionally good at it. If given more freedom, I think he could put up even better numbers, but that’s just a minor gripe, and I'm sure one he shares.

I'd be grateful if we tied him down longer. I'm a little fearful of him finding the allure of Madrid our Barca too strong. They're huge in Argentina and it's hard to be influenced by that

Jude Bellendingham or a whole new midfield? We were right to walk away from that gobshite.

I told my Chelsea scumbag mates that he was better than Enzo Fernandez. Why? Because he can play the the 6, 8 and 10 role competently and at a high level. With Enzo, he was seen as more talented, more athletic and more dynamic than Alexis, but no one has a clue as to whether he's a 6, 8 or 10!

I know he’s an overrated prick, if that helps?

My wife gave way to Enzo a few months ago when he was leaving their training ground. She was trying to describe the player to me

"I don't know who it was, but he looked really rat like"

me *shows picture of Cole Palmer*

"no"

me *shows picture of Enzo*

"YES HIM"

Someone needs to buy him a caravan in Cushendall so he'll feel at home. It's easy to get to from Liverpool (it's only an hour from Belfast) and it's filled with McAllisters.

He's always looked better with a robust #6 alongside him, whether that was Endo last season or Grav this. Klopp utilising him as a playmaker in the 6 role just didn't work......now he looks all the world better and his defensive improvement as the 8 is there for all to see.

Yep insane business. I love that we buy hard working gifted players.

While our front 3 are weaker than the 2020 winning team, the midfield is vastly superior.

Imagine this midfield with that defence and attack.

I think with Ibou, everyone else was looking at Upamecano and thinking he was the one. Like we did when we saw Babb playing for Ireland, but it turned out Paul McGrath was just making him look 10 times better than he was (which was obvious to most fans with eyes).

I haven't done the player of the match thing for a while but over the last few games Ibou has been a level above what I thought he was capable of. If he could just stay fit he'd have it all.
