Not as pretty as this one

So what the story with this guy? No solid offer from any club but supposedly all the major ones are chasing him. Lyon supposedly lowered asking price but still no offers (far as we know). £21m is loose change to PSG, why havent they snapped him up, he is an ideal replacement to The Zlatan?

They'll replace Zlatan with Ronaldo.

can we offer them 25 million PLEASE.

According to French media outlet Le10 Sport, Liverpool are willing to meet the asking price of €30m for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The report says that the French club will do business if the bid is sufficient and if they can find a replacement for the striker.

Liverpool are on the market for a new forward and are monitoring numerous targets including Christian Benteke and Salomon Rondon.
Benteke is thought to be Brendan Rodgers’ main target but the Reds are unwilling to meet the release clause of £32.5m for the Belgian international.
Therefore if French media reports are true, Liverpool have sought after 24-year-old Lacazette, who is likely to be a less expensive alternative.
Lacazette has established himself as one of the most clinical strikers in Europe in recent years, and scored 27 goals in 33 league matches last season, along with six assists.

We should tell Lyon that Benteke is available as Lacazette's replacement.

.... and we could through in a Borini or Balotelli if they'd like.

This whole saga is very strange, it feels like he's already found an agreement with another club and now they're just waiting the clock down so that Lyon drop their price. Even if we were to go in for this guy, as soon as we started making any progress a Chelsea or City would sweep in last second and pip us at the post, it'll never happen unfortunately.

Chelsea wont be in for him and not City either.

Could be the perfect player for the Arse mind.

Yep, let's work out his options;

Chelsea - They already have Remy, Costa, and Falcao. Mourinho plays with one up top usually so lets take Chelsea out of the equation.
Juventus - Just sold Tevez but signed Mandzukic. Could make a move for him if Morata goes back to Madrid but i'd be leaning towards a no to Juve.
City - They have Aguero, Bony and Dzeko. Looking to off load Negredo back to Spain. Focusing on Sterling right now.
Barca and Madrid are well stocked unless Madrid sell Benzema so I will lean towards a no here also.

United - RVP looks to be leaving, Falcao already gone. United need a striker. FUCK.
Arsenal - They could do with an upgrade on Giroud. Will probably fight it out with United if he chooses an English club.
PSG - The obvious move if Zlatan finds a new club. But does Lacazette want to leave the French league to test himself elsewhere?

I believe Remy is leaving Chelsea, so they could do with another striker, but one of Lacazette's quality to be backup? Maybe not.

The press were running the story that Rooney will be starting upfront in a 4-3-3, so whilst they could definitely use another striker, I'm not sure they'd splash loads on one if he wasn't going to be first choice, I definitely wouldn't 100% rule it out though.

As for Arsenal, he'd be perfect for them, but I just can't see them splashing loads of money on him, although the last two seasons have taught us they will these days with Ozil and Sanchez, they have to be the favourites.

The forward has yet to pen a new deal with Lyon, and French press claim he will submit a transfer request before the new season starts.

According to L'Equipe, Lyon have been in regular contact with Lacazette's representatives this summer but have so far failed to thrash out new terms.
Liverpool will, apparently, face competition from the usual names - Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Reds, meanwhile, have been told to put up or shut up in their bid to land Aston Villa star Christian Benteke.[/article]

Lacazette isn't really an out and out striker, though. He can do that but he can also certainly play a similar role to someone like Sanchez.

In reality all of the top 4 in England could do with him.

Oh, and Juve signed Paulo Dybala to replace Tevez, btw.

Bayern - are they happy with Lewandowski?
City is still possible, if they do move Dzeko.
Wolfsburg - could be a dark horse; they're a big spender in the market these days
Dortmund - no CL for this season, but they could move Immobile and make room for him - if he agrees last season was just a blip

Liverpool could yet be given a boost in their hunt to sign Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette after reports in France confirmed the talented 24-year-old is yet to agree a new contract with the Ligue 1 club.
Lacazette emerged as one of the brightest French talents coming through the ranks at the Stade de Gerland a few years ago, and enjoyed his best season to date courtesy of his 27 league goals in just 33 outings to help Lyon finish second behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
However, despite Lacazette’s contract running until June 2018, French newspaper L’Equipe reports that he could hand in a stunning transfer request to rock the club and try to force through a move to another European club.

Who could Liverpool sign to replace Raheem Sterling?

Liverpool aren’t the only side interested in Lacazette though, with Champion League heavyweights Bayern Munich also monitoring his future along with PSG, who hope that the allure of remaining in France will appeal to Lacazette.
Liverpool are likely to strengthen further following last season’s struggles in attack, with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all facing the exit door should the Reds find suitable destinations for the goal-shy trio. With Daniel Sturridge missing a large proportion of last season through injury, manager Brendan Rodgers has moved swiftly to address the struggles in front of goal, and has brought in Danny Ings from Burnley and Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim – the latter’s move set to cost up to £29m.

With Firmino likely to play behind the lead striker, Rodgers could look to launch a move for Lacazette this summer which will also give him options on the left of his attack. However, Lacazette will not come cheap, and it’s believed that Lyon will demand in excess of £28m for the France international.

If we get this guy, I'll forgive Brendan/FSG for:

Balotelli, Borini, Lambert, Stoke and the Sanchez/Suarez debacle.

Can't see this happening in my wildest dreams.

Tell you what i'll do mate i'll stick an online order in through sainsburys for beans, sausages, coffee and some tinnies.
Get the supplies in just on the off chance.

I like to think it is no coincidence that rumours of him coming to Liverpool have heated up since my intervention.
