I love how we still all constantly talk about players we have no hope in hell of actually signing. We're dreamers, but we're not the only ones.

Well.... it wouldn't be a dream if we signed them.

That would be called reality.

I mean, if you want to dream of Danny Ings..... be my guest.

[article]Alexandre Lacazette is staying at Lyon.

The striker has been linked with Liverpool throughout the summer - usually by the media abroad - but any suitors will now be left disappointed.

He is quoted as saying: "What people say doesn't mean much. I can still work well.

"I can show everyone that my mind is not in another place. I have already told the head coach and the president that I want to stay in Lyon.

"I am fully committed to our project for this season. Whatever happens outside stays outside. Personally, I know what I want for this season."[/article]

Keep the faith. He holding out for a reach-around with the massive cheque, just like Delph.

Quelle Suprise!

Perhaps I'm just a little out of the loop but it seems weird that for someone who is supposedly one of the hottest properties in Europe, nobody seems interested - at least not publicly.

Yep. Despite them saying if there's a good bid they'll sell. Hmmm

He is waiting for us to be in the Champions League next year. That must be it.

I've read the opinions over the last few weeks and clearly the opinion has been that Lacazette is very talented and also better suited than Benteke. I did watch YouTube videos (yes, I know) of their goals last year - and Benteke was more impressive. Lacazette had a large number of penalties, and many tap-ins - good striker attributes, certainly. But I liked what I saw from Benteke. I started the summer hoping for Lacezette based on reputation - but am happy we're getting Benteke.

On the other hand, I watched clips of Benteke's moments for Belgium against France and Israel, and was totally uninspired by his heavy first touches and poorly-weighted passes in both games.
