That's definitely that then. Can't see a way back for him now. Presumably neither can he, or he surely wouldn't have said that.
We haven't got any truly top class centre backs. We've just got several decent ones, each with their own particular weaknesses. Agger is the most stylish of our flawed centre backs. Maybe he should have held on to defenders more and pulled a few into the back of the goal, just to show he's got the grit to make up for his deficiencies.

Skrtel said something similar last year and people seem to have convineiently forgotten that because people like the "he put his head down and worked his are off to win his place" story line at the minute. If anything, people around here are too fucking fickle.....
For the record I wasn't pissed off when skrtel opened his gob to the media and I'm not pissed about After opening his gob now. If anything I don't want a vice captain who is happy with being third choice....If he thinks he deserves better and he is not getting it here, then I don't see what is the fucking problem in stating that out loud.

i don't know why he didnt come back in for sakho. we needed more experience on the pitch. rodgers got a lot wrong in the end.

I was one of those.
Skrtel's been in and out the team before. He didn't moan when he was on the sideline for months. He said he thought he was made a scapegoat for the cup game when Coates was all over the place, Carragher came into the side to replace him because out of him and Agger he was the one who's obviously more like Carragher. He then spent months on the sidelines and said nothing. Agger has been injured and/or out the side before and pulled this trick, not just once either. He publicly criticised Hodgson, he moaned about being played at left back (did Skrtel or Carragher moan about playing right back?), he moaned about not being straight back in the side after being out for months injured, when we went on to finish 2nd under Rafa.
Skrtel's been the ever present this season, the second spot has been anyone's, Toure, Sakho and Agger have all had pretty much equal playing time, none of them have been "automatic" choices, it's only because Agger didn't figure in the last several games that he chose to highlight it, forgetting that the same manager he's now questioning publicly (a bit of a trend eh), gave him the vice captain's armband in August and entrusted him to play the majority of the time he was fit and available. I don't and haven't heard Sakho moaning about being on the sidelines this season, or Cissokho, or a shitload of other players.
If anyone seriously think this hapless, shit-stirring little cunt isn't on a windup, then I give up.
