Non-Englishers (or even Englishers that hate their own side), we should adopt a team for the World Cup.

This team will then become SCM's very own, we (I) shall compile a profile of them, key players, matches, and cheer ever so eLoudly when they romp to Victory against Algeria or something. It'll make some games immensly more interesting if we've got our own team.
Let's not pick Brazil, Argentina or something gay like that, I want some shit that have a chance of progressing and that we can actually support (for some unknown reason)

Here are the teams, pick which one you want SCM to back (you've got until COB this weekend to do that) and we'll go from there. Feel free to argue against anyone else's choices.

I remember seeing a profile on Mexico recently and they've got some pretty decent players. Not a bad shout at all.

It's an ace shout. We've got no reason to hate them like we would say for Ivory Coast and the Drogba factor, or Switzerland and the Le Chacal one. We've no posters from there so we're impartial. They're not favourites, not shit, but they've got a reasonable chance of getting out of the group. Mexico for defs.

Netherlands is a good shout.

I'm being predictable and keeping an eye on Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Argentina (for the potential comedy/drama).

Mexico probably wouldn't be my choice to support for this but I'm okay with it if it becomes the majority choice (or if you just "enforce" it, Ryan). I just got back from Cancun two days ago so I'm feeling a bit of affinity with the country.

nice one - all of them? or just the few you ran into that disappointed you?

I'm a citizen of two countries that are participating there .... I hope both do well, but one will probably lose 3 games, the other will probably disappoint though I expect them to get to the quarters.
