Adama on Eve of Liverpool Move?

The fact this story came up the week we play Wolves let's you know it's bullshit. He will leave there in the summer but probably not to us as he has zero end product. It would be another Ox type signing where it's so obviously unsuitable you'd wonder why we'd bother.

He'll end up at Bayern, Dortmund or Barca. He won't be coming here.

I reckon he’ll end up at none of those teams.

He’s got a Spursy, Juventusy, AC Milany feel to him - like not top top tier, but just under.

Shot creation for others as the stats undeniably prove.

My one issue (aside from the lack of end product from the man himself) is that Wolves play nothing like us and so would he be able to replicate those figures in a team that dominates the ball and plays far higher up the pitch?

Kick and run (to reduce his skill to its basic level) is fine when you have the space to run into but he won't have anything like as much here as at Wolves.

This. If he can't produce at a club set up for his style of play I'm not optimistic about how he'd do in our set up

Klopp said that he from the first glance at Jota thought he could be a player for us. Pressing, football intelligence, skill and the right attitude.
I cant really see Klopp thinking the same about Traore.

I mean physically he's a beast - strong, quick, pretty good feet...in that respect he has all the attributes to be completely unplayable.

But a lot of the time (later today obviously being one of the exceptions) he's not. So clearly it's a mental thing - mindset, game intelligence or whatever.

So if Klopp is interested, I get it - all of those things should in theory be coachable. He's a project, one that if it works out, would bear rich fruit. Possibly a little bit of a vanity project, in that it's based on the premise "I can realise his potential where others can't" - but then again if I had to put money on *anyone* getting the best out of a player, Klopp would be my man.

And if he did that, and turned Traore into the player he could be, then what a fucking weapon we would have. I mean he probably still wouldn't start, but imagine bringing him on with half an hour to go, when defences have already been getting run ragged by Sadio and Mo. They'd be weeping internally.

But then again he could just stay at the same level.

Dunno, got splinters in my arse on this one

Several managers have struggled to get the best of his skills in their team. Now benched at Wolves.
Tells you what you need to know.

Sometimes things are cheap and available for a reason.

Well I think I’m one of the very few that likes the idea of bringing him into the squad.
I know he hasn’t shown much in terms of end product but he really is super human in terms of pace, along with a very natural dribbling ability. Our players will show up for the ball/pass far more and better than his current side, so my hope is that he’ll have the easier short passes to make. If he played on the left Robbo will always be there for him, with our mobile CF (Bobby or Jota) also creating options for him.
He’d just be so lethal on the counter, and his kick and run down the line routine beats most defenders, whether they have a high line or sit deep. Maybe he’ll just end up frustrating me, but I really wouldn’t mind seeing him play for us.

I remember this forum getting super excited about signing Mario Balotelli, it’s probably for the best that everyone thinks Adama is shit.

Adeyemi is the way to go for a striker. Or maybe another midfielder like Wirtz or Bellingham. Imagine that the $20m outlay on Traore prevented us from getting one of those players, it would make me weep. Weep I tell you.

We should try and get Bowen, bar pace and strength he has everything else in his locker.....very Jota lite stylistic wise.

Might cost a few quid more but he's far the better player.

As far as back up options go I don't see why we shouldn't go for Morelos, he's got that Suarez like fight about him which makes him such a handful....quick, good finisher...only reason that would put fans off is the league he plays in...then again is the SPL any worst than the Austrian league Adeyemi plays in?

I think you have a point here about our team creating more passing options for him.

He creates some of the problem himself because he outruns his support, but Wolves rarely get too many players forward and we have a load of players that will bust a gut to get into a good space.

If he can stretch a defense with his pace and strength and have a simple pull back to Hendo or Ox, or an overlapping TAA to provide the “end product” into the box, it could work quite well. He would open space for others, if they are willing to get into it.

One final point: we need to remember that at Wolves, he has always been a wide winger. He could be much more suited to playing more narrow as a wide forward, like our forwards typically play.

Bowen looks good, but perhaps just at his level now. A challenging team, not a top team.

I'd really like us to get Davis from Lille. That young German striker looks good too.
For midfield I want a more PL established player like Bissouma or Tielemans. I think Bellingham is not happening, probably not Tielemans either.

A midfielder that has not lived up to the expcetions of at least one manager, Arsene Wenger. Sold to Liverpool for £40m
For me he is such an annoying player, Has many for the attributes to make a great play, but lack the commitment to put in the work needed to take his game to the next level. That coupled with his lack of work rate on the pitch (The 10 minute man) and his continuance to run down blind alley's makes him a very limited player

Pace to burn, and more than capable of taking one or two defenders and beating them. Finishing not his great suit, but setting up the likes of Jota,Salah, Mane, Bobby Origi, and Minamino trumps his lack of scoring himself. Work on both his finishing and decision will give us a great asset, and at 25 can still be moulded

"Bar pace and strength"? If he doesn't have at least one of those he's not good enough for a team challenging for the title.

Anyone buying Morelos would be buying trouble. Dangerous player but his disciplinary record makes Suarez look like a boy scout.

Think Bowen would make a good squad player. A very good presser, pretty smart, works his socks off, more physicality/more direct than Minamino, and more end product than Ox when we attempt him up there.

When we are talking about Neco as a possible right forward…and Davis is central.

Homegrown, too.

Bar pace and strength when compared to Adama.....which I think 99% of players in Europe suffer.

I think he's equally as quick as Jota & much quicker than Firmino....like Jota can play across the front line...They have a lot in common.

What are yout talking about?

The only thing Jota and Traore have in common is that they are both footballers that have played for Wolves.

It would help if you read the posts before & maybe you'd know the 2 players I'm talking about.

I would rather Bowen than traore. I really don't want Bowen.
