Anyone got a stream for TV coverage of the election? For us ex-pats who don't really care, but sort of do, deep down.
It'll be on the iplayer mate.
Whoops sorry bud.

I voted Labour.

Reason, i was born in 84 in a small mining village in south yorkshire! I pretty much had it drummed into me that we dont vote Conservative!

I was tempted by the Lib Dems, it was more of a tactical vote, Labour have a better chance of stopping the Tories getting in.

Labour

i know fuck all about politics, but Brown gets my sympathy vote. Looks like he's had a stoke after all

That's US ET, Eastern Time, so that coverage starts in 25 mins & is BBC simulcast.

Pesam here reporting from the Betfair constituency and 25 minutes before the exit polls there seems to be some decent sized bets going through on a Tory majority!

Over the last 20 minutes the price has changed considerably and now it Evens a Tory majority, does someone have some advance figures I wonder?

Sorry Jon, I wasn't replying to you. My comment was based on the commentary on Sky - most of the seats will declare about 3am UK time apparently, so 4am where I am. I'm not sure I've got enough beer to get me through the next five hours though, especially if all I'll get to see in the end is a Tory victory.

Wow, big bets now coming through on a Tory majority which was a 6/4 outsider bet and now 4/5 favourite, someone knows something.

Ah, no worries. I have Luke all Friday so I need my sleep, I'll find out the bad news tomorrow morning.

Did any other places have local elections today as well or just Liverpool?

.............. and now 8/11.

On behalf of Kent Brockman, may I be the first welcome our new Tory overlords.
Oops, now back out to 11/10

Does anyone know what effect the UK election and the Greek financial crisis will have on the pound-euro exchange rate over the next week or so?

If the Tories get an overall majority I reckon the £1 will gain against the Euro and the euro will dip under 80p.

Really? Hmm... No, I can't want the Tories to win, even it makes me money. I just can't.

What about the Greek crisis? Won't that have an effect?
