Ludicrous Rumours P2

Fucking hell.
Football is getting more like Jerry McGuire by the day.

[article]Gianluigi Donnarumma will not renew his contract, announced Milan after a crunch meeting with agent Mino Raiola, so Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain step forward.

The 18-year-old came up through their youth academy and was launched into the first team at the age of 16.

“I preferred rather than to release a statement, considering the focus on the so-called Donnarumma case, that I would update you immediately on the meeting I just had a few minutes ago with Mino Raiola,” said CEO Marco Fassone in a hastily-arranged Press conference.

“Raiola informed us that Donnarumma has made a definitive decision not to renew the contract with Milan. It is a definitive decision, made by the player.

“I want to remind you all that 10 days ago (director Massimiliano) Mirabelli made a very important proposal to the player, one even stronger than the reports that appeared in the various papers.

“The player evaluated it and made some evaluations that were not just economic, but also technical and professional, and he told us that he does not wish to renew the contract, so his time with Milan will therefore conclude by June 30, 2018.

“We were taken by surprise, as we had confidently hoped Donnarumma would be the goalkeeper taking Milan into the future that we could build the team around.

“We trust that we can do our best. Naturally, the decision leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, but now we have to go forward and Milan go forward.”

The contract extension on offer was reported to be worth €4.5m per year plus bonuses, but Raiola wanted to introduce a release clause for as little as €10m if Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League.

There are now already reports that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are offering €6m salaries.[/article]

Talent aside, to be given a chance at such a young age, it is sad to see what money/agent can do. He's only 18!

mental isn't it ?

he's 18 and the starting goal keeper for AC Milan, i mean sure they arent the force they have been at the moment but its still Milan.. that isn't enough ?what a cunt .

i hope he gets the £150k pay rise or whatever and rots on a bench at Chelsea.... in the rain

As for his mega cunt Agent, FIFA need to really intervene and cut the legs of these cunts after the pogba fiasco and examples like this where they pollute kids minds

Raiola is a thundercunt. Shame for Milan and a bit weird about his decision given Milans recent transfer dealings. They'll be a good team next season.

Besides, they've done pretty well (on paper, at least) in the transfer market so far after the takeover. Why try and play a part in revival of the club? Or sign a contract with a release clause etc.? At least let the club that groomed him a chance to earn a decent transfer fee (which is quite common isn't it? i.e. sign contract extension and then still get sold)? Time is on his side. The age of players breaking through into the first team is increasingly younger. With the obscene amount of money involved and growing agent influence esp. those 'powerful' ones like Raiola and Mendes involved, can't imagine how football will be in 5 to 10 years time.

He will never be loyal to us if he isn't loyal to Milan. Isn't Raiola famous for having his players move around a lot?

Raiola is certainly infamous for getting his players to move around club to club for big transfer fees.

However, in this case I can definitely see where the agent & player are coming from.

Milan have recently been sold to Chinese investors and the agent is not convinced that they will lead the club in the right direction back to being among the elite in Europe. If you look at Inter who were also bought by Chinese investors, the investors have ran the club like amateurs - chopping and changing managers, making signings that don't really benefit the team etc.

Similiar things appear to be on the cards with Milan - unable to attract big name players despite the investment, with Morata their main target looking set to go with United for now.

Donnarumma is a life long Milan fan too, despite being born in Naples, so his heart is definitely with Milan. But a player of his apparent calibre definitely deserves to be playing football at the highest level competing for the silverware every season, which Milan don't look like doing yet.

When you consider that Juventus are circling him to be the long term replacement for Buffon - as well as clubs like PSG & Real Madrid - the advantage is most definitely with the agent/player.

This has not much to do about the contract being offered but more to do with the ambition of the player vs. reality of where Milan are at.

I can see your point but he is only 18 yrs old - it's not like he's already 28 and achieved nothing.

Besides, there's always options like inserting clauses into the contract. Moreover. with the amount of money the big clubs are willing to throw around, there's no stopping him from moving even if he signs a contract extension. Pretty obvious that this is for money rather than 'ambition'. Moving on a bosman transfer will mean more money for him and Rinola in terms of signing on fees.

Absolutely and that's what I meant when I said power is with the agent & player at this point.

The wise thing would be for him to re-sign and keep playing week in week out for another 2 years to see if things change or not.

What a statement of intent it will be if AC Milan freeze him out of the 1st team picture for the upcoming season. :D

Chelsea apparently bidded £52.5m for Kalidou Koulibaly and Nzonzi reportedly on his way to Juventus for £35m. We should really come to terms with the 'new' player valuations these days.

It is an absolute farce at the moment with the fees being mentioned for average/unproven players.

Having said that, things have also changed on the football landscape.

More clubs on the scene for big names that weren't there 10 years ago - your Dortmunds, PSGs, Atleticos, Man City etc etc

Then throw China into the mix and it's led to a ridiculous inflation of player valuations.

China have announced a 100% tax on foreign player transfers. They are going to diminish as the country/league able to pay the top dollar.

*ludicrous rumour inbound*

is anybody worried over the prospect of Ronaldo going back to utd ?

reports that he's unhappy for er being caught at tax evasion and because Spain is mean he wants to leave. surely his ego would prevent him of going to China and he doesn't need the loot and likewise , he must feel he has too much to offer to end up in the US ?

which leaves PSG or utd ?

No way he's leaving RM. United wouldn't guarantee him anything trophy-wise .. except even higher tax ! And he's just won the CL, La Liga and Player of the fucking everything again.

Hahahahaha

Manchester United told Eric Dier will cost £50 million as Spurs dig their heels in #MUFC @SamWallaceTel
Eric Dier is a primary example of the current state of english midfield and player valuations.
What England would do for a midfielder from the last decade like Butt let alone Scoles, Gerrard or Lampard. 50 million for Dier, I wish at times we would get a transfer ban so that we can just bank the current budget and spend like a lottery winner when the crash comes but then it's not at all realistic if we are to keep up with the rest of them.

Nah, Ronaldo's ego will calm down soon. He'll sign a 'new' extension and proclaim his love for Madrid.
