I'm glad some one has emphasised what we are missing without Binny here. It needed to be highlighted.
What Owen and Fowler? These are two players who were a shadow of the great players they were come their 28 birthdays.Actually, it was a fairly interesting article - but I didn't totally agree with the author. His talk of over-playing the youngsters, and comparisons with Messi, Silva, Thuram. Well, how about Fowler and Owen? They turned out alright. The point is that there isn't a set formula. Sterling probably was over-played, fair enough, but other players may have missed out at Anfield through never being trusted to step up. Its one of the skills of a good manager, deciding when to blood a youngster, and when to rest him.
Maybe Rodgers has had his hand forced a little due to lack of a sufficient number of experienced players - but those players demand higher wages, are often demoralized if left out for a youngster, and can then let their careers drift off in mediocrity. As I say, its not an easy balance, and certainly not as formulaic as the author would like to suggest.
How I long for the days of Partridge and co.Robinson started for Wolves last night and apparently did well. He's another very good full back prospect. So much young talent at the club now.
I wish I could see them live more often. I used to be able to do that before I started working full time.I want to say that this is one of my favorite threads ever on the site - the inputs from Macca, Peter, Studs, Modo, Livvy and many others have allowed most of us to follow the future stars (hopefully) of Liverpool. KEEP IT UP!
Not a fan of Robinson, don't think he'll be at the club in 2 years. Championship quality only I think
That's harsh. He's barely even played for the first team this season. Most people who've watched him a lot think he has a good chance.
