"Whatever". I would come on here simply to say that YOU are a prick but I'd get repetitive strain injury. So please take this as an ongoing thought: you're a massive twat.

Gentlemen let's not further sully a good thread.

Both of you move on and ignore each other

Seeing Ngoo still in the team promoted me to wonder: do we have any strikers coming up from the youth team? Besides Yesil for the U21 and Sinclair for U18s - both of whom were signed? While the likes of Mellor and Morgan did not manage to make it to the 1st team, its always interesting hearing about new Fowlers and new Owens. 😛

Teixeria does play on the left for the U-21s in some games. And I think Suso seemed to play on the right in the last clip I saw posted here. I'd think both of them would be rather similar to Coutinho, in that they can play behind the striker, or if they started on a flank, they'd not necessarily be leashed to that strip of the field but would be free to drift inwards according to the situation.

Another lad I'm wondering about is Jack Dunn. I first saw him as a central midfielder in the U-18s and was greatly impressed. At that time I thought he was the closest thing we had to Gerrard in terms of playing style (until Rossiter came around and grabbed that title). He filled in as a striker for some games at that level and scored some, then went to the U-21s and has rarely played in central midfield since I think, seemingly having spent most of his time on the flank. Of late, he seems to have spent more time on the bench. When he played in the tournament in Singapore, his leadership qualities were apparent, taking the helm and striving to drive the team on. I hope he doesn't go the same way as Conor Coady...

Well, Mellor did score a belter against the Gunners, and was instrumental in the game against Olympiacos, helping us on our road to Istanbul. On those counts, he did make it to the first team in my book - just didn't manage to stay long enough. 😉

Harry Wilson.

Our lads look so incomplete compared to Towsends, janurazs, Shaws, Barkleys... whats the matter why cant we get something from there

Yeah, wondering the same as @Fabio. Isn't he a winger? That said, noticed he's on goal scoring form something like 7 goals in past 7 matches.

At the milk cup, he interchanged with Canos (and the other one I've forgotten the name of) so I presume he can play up top if need be. In saying that, his starting position in those matches was on the wing.

Ibe, Teixeira and McLaughlin, I think.

I'd add Smith in there too. I was impressed by his progress prior to nasty injury and (even more impressively) he's come back with the same upward curve.

He's fast, aggressive and raw. I'd love to see him get his chance at left back with Enrique out, even more so in a back 5.

Almeria youth sent to Liverpool
By Football Espana staff

Almeria have confirmed that youngster Joaquin Fernandez will train for the next 10 days in the youth ranks at Liverpool.
The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has been confirmed by his club as set to join up with the Premier League outfit’s academy side for the next week-and-a-half, as part of a clause inserted in the summer deal that saw Suso loaned out from Anfield to Almeria for the 2013-14 campaign.
The Almeria B regular is suspended for his side’s next game against Albacete as it is, but will return to the club on December 11.
The youngster has been capped at Under-16 and Under-17 level for Spain and has already attended several training sessions with Almeria’s senior side.

They face competition from Inter Milan for Halmstads 17-year-old striker Valmir Berisha but are favourites to sign young Polish midfielder Milosz Kozak. Club scout Mel Johnson has dubbed the 16-year-old one of the most talented players he is tracking.

Kozak, a left-sided player, is with Lech Poznan and has represented Poland at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 level. Johnson speaking to Poland daily paper Fakt said: 'Milosz is one of the most talented players we are watching in Poland.'[/article]

who in the current batch can step up and compete for a place up front? Yesil, Sinclair? We need someone bright, young and hungry.

We have to find a way to get Teixeira on loan to Almeria with Suso. Let them learn to play together, he looks as good as Suso did before he was promoted at least. Sergi Canos is about to start impressing like Chivarella, especially as a nine.

he's only finding his feet but how does this canos lad look ? does he have that sign of something special ?

Very confident with the ball, lovely close control and able to shrug off defenders surprisingly well. Still quite raw but you can see he's going to be a classy senior player.
