Ukrainian government said Russia has captured an airport just North of Kyiv, so it's quite likely that's part of this.
They captured it early doors with paratroopers. Ukraine trying a counter offensive to take it back.

It's too late to come to that realisation. For example, Greta Thunberg was virtue signalling. That was the time to realise it, rather than argue with me. Now you are in Putin's pocket, and have to decide how much you are willing to pay for energy or how many innocent people you are willing to let die. Not a nice trade off for the west, but it is what it is.
There's more to come. Europe seems intent on pretty much freezing all Russian money.
