Take for example the other day when he went to his twitter account to state his feelings about Sterling and how Liverpool are a family and all that jazz.
You could tell his intentions were good but he's so fucking dumb that he came out looking the bad guy again.
We really need to get shut of him though he's massively talented when he's on but the circus that surrounds him will never be worth the hassle.

Yeah I'm not buying into the notions that he didn't put in a shift.

Rodgers didn't want him and it has shown in Mario's confidence last season.
It's been badly handled but for all that's concerned it would be great if he moved on before the business of the season starts.
Sorry, Macca, but I couldn't disagree more. It wasn't the lack of service from midfield that didn't let Balotelli, Lambert and Borini shine; it was the lack of pace and general shitness of the aforementioned front 3 that made our midfield's efforts go to naught.
They were so bad that a 19-year-old winger with a weak-ish shot who's never player as a centre-forward before (and probably never will again in his career) had to be pushed up front and he actually did a lot better than any of those 3.
They didn't play the same with Sterling. Coutinho was pushed up closer to him, Henderson was encouraged to give him more support, as were the wing backs. If you think Sterling was left isolated about ten yards from the penalty area, with balls pumped at him from distance, and this magical midget somehow chested the ball down, turned the two defenders covering him and scored his goals that way in a masterclass for the others, then god knows what games you saw. Sterling wasn't simply 'pushed up' - Rodgers did what he wasn't doing for his big strikers and actually contrived ways to give him support and decent service. To suggest the team played exactly the same for both players and Sterling somehow changed his game to capture great big straight aerial punts in the middle of the pitch is simply, but gobsmackingly, disingenuous.
It seems as if people are using sterling as a way to knock the other strikers
The amount of times balotelli /Lambert were standing on the edge of the box with the ball, patiently waiting for sterling/Coutinho /Henderson to move in to /around the box and create space for them, was just ridiculous
It's like Rodgers tried to make balotelli and Lambert fail, like some kind of protest for not getting a better striker last year

Lambert made plenty of runs behind the defence, which our players would pick out, but he'd either lose the ball, get outpaced or wait for others to slowly join in.
Whereas with Sterling he could do his own thing due to his pace and trickery. So didn't have to wait for others.
Same with Sturridge, same with Suarez.
It's just that the other strikers from last year couldn't do what those three could do.
Lambert and Balotelli were effectively asked to play like Sturridge. They clearly can't because they have a very different set of attributes and as such were set up to fail by a manager that must've recognized that asking guys like Lambert to run in behind is futile.
I was kind of arguing the point that 'they didn't play the same with Sterling'.
Which is exactly what the team DID do.
And thus the failure of the strikers, as you pointed out.
Ahh, ok, so we're on the same page.
There were at least 5 people that didn't exactly come out of that penalty incident looking well. But it was one incident over the course of a season, and the team seemed to have moved on from it. People make mistakes and learn from them, it't not really worth making a deal about. It might be a big deal if it happened a second.
You need to take a hard look at his conversion rate. I think it's the lowest ever recorded in the PL history.
He had the worst conversation in Europe in Milan for the season when we signed him.
He has done even worse for us.

I get it now. Rodgers set up Balotelli and Lambert to fail by making the team play in the same way as with Sturridge/Sterling, therefore not using their best attributes. But wait – Rodgers also set up the team to play in a different way than with Sturridge/Sterling, therefore ensuring their failure. He's so cunning, this Rodgers bloke, he even managed to defy the universal rules of logic to make his team play the same and different all at the same time, just to make Mario and Rickie fail!
I actually think it's a mixture of things. The team was still largely dependant on having mobile forwards (Rodgers fault or not depending on how you want to view it) and Lambert and Balotelli were not well rounded / good / bedded in enough to make it work (Rodgers fault or not depending on how you want to view it) .
I think you guys who are on the side of "Rodgers set them up to fail" should first figure out which of those 2 arguments to use. I can't argue against 2 mutually exclusive things, so I'll just step aside.

Why do posters who, as you suggest, are presenting differing opinions need to get together to agree on a consensus before you can join the debate?
A person posts his / her opinion and then someone else can then choose to comment on that. It's not that hard and you've been managing fine up until now.
We'd better get the KY ready. The only way we'll move him on is by lubing up and taking one for the team.
