I haven't given up on the idea (a central midfield that is equally adapt defensively and offensively) it's just patently obvious henderson isn't the one that will make it work.

We don't have the players to make it work

We need one player to let the other player take the shackles off. Our best formation with the players we've got is a nice simple 4-5-1

to be fair we were drawing at home before he was injured but we are now starting to draw away from home as well.
