Heres my first effort.

I was ten. I instantly fell in love with Marco Tardelli for his celebration of that goal. Started cheering for Juventus from that point onwards, for that reason alone.

It was a cracker indeed but I've always felt it slightly unfairly overshadowed one by Pele in that game (Brazil's third?). Gerson hits a long ball forward, Pele runs after it and jumps for it in Italy's half, controls the ball on his chest while he's still travelling through the air, comes down, lets the ball drop to his foot and volleys it in. Sheer poetry in motion. If I knew how to post clips on here I'd try and find it.

England have scored some nice goals over the last few WCs to be fair.


Platt in 90 against belguim and stunning header in 3rd place play off
in 94 ermmm oops not there
Owen in 98, we will never forget that one
in 2002 - cannot remember any great goals from us
2006 - Joe Cole stunner

I tell you we will never have a team as good as we did in 1990, it was shit hot, we should have won that one.
