Australia are quick on the break & are showing plenty of passion, Chile have loads of talent but look weak at he back when ran at. Good combination for a contest.

I regret not travelling, always wanted to. So it sounds like the advice to my lads will be "go travelling, see the world, fuck plenty of women, fuck the mortgage til later". The polar opposite of the advice my daughter will get, obv.

I didn't travel enough but I got to see a large part of the states and had a great time while doing it. I also got paid to study in Greece for 6 months, all of this was down to the tax payer. That would be you. So thanks for that!

I reckon I would give my wee dude the same advice, although his ma would probably disagree.

Nowhere of note. The Australian league, a lot of leagues through Asia and a couple in the Swiss, German and Dutch leagues.

Cheers.
I don't know what commentary you have but there was mention of one being a 2nd division player in Germany

I'm watching it with Greek commentary, I'm not really paying attention but from what I've heard they're just commenting on the match. I haven't heard them say anything about where each player plays.

Actually, I realized I chose a wrong thread for this conversation. It's going to get buried. Mods, is it possible to move the posts about Wijnaldum to a new thread? If it's not too much trouble 🙂

You'll have to wait til I'm sober, it's harder than you imagine doing that shit on a tablet.

I would prefer Tadic,

Are Sevilla looking to replace Rakitic with Wijnaldum?

That's the other end of the spectrum!

My 20's were great, I got a full expenses paid (including: flights, accommodation, food, tuition fees were waivered by the American college...) year studying in the states during my 20's so I can't complain. I just didn't do enough shagging!

Where did ya study Ruari?

Do you guys see what I was saying about Diego Costa? He is not effective at all when removed from Diego Simeone's system. And when he is not effective, he gets frustrated and exhibits this ridiculous almost anti-social behavior. I'm glad we didn't buy him. He will be a lot better fit for Mourinho than for our system, but still I don't think he'll be a huge success there either.

"Rich man's Kevin Davies."

Maybe Chelsea will buy Simeone midway through next season, or at the end of the season, who knows?

You went to a liberal arts college & didn't do much shagging?! The name suggests orgies & drunken weed parties!
You know the way Torres needs about 10 goal scoring opportunities to net 1? I was like that.

Also, the liberal arts aspect was to do with its curriculum, it wasn't full of hippies. It did have a bar on campus though, which is unusual in American colleges.

Is Tika-Taka dead?

If not dead, then definitely in decline.

There was an article on the BBC about Germany and their Bayern vs Dortmund style dilemma and it does feel like the Dortmund style (which is similar to what Rodgers has switched to at Liverpool) is more dominant these days.

To do what Barca / Spain did with tiki-taka requires once in a generation players at the peak of their powers. Sadly, those players are not quite at the top of their game any more and thus far it feels like both Tata Martino and Del Bosque haven't found a way to successfully play with same tiki-taka spine yet mix the style up.

Last night Spain weren't playing tiki-taka. They kept trying to feed it in quickly to Costa. That's not playing to their strengths and Holland ended up having much more of the ball (and much more confidence) as a result.

They'd have been much better off playing a less effective brand of tiki-taka. They weren't great in the last Euros but won it anyways.
