I think thats a better english team

No it isn't. And Rooney/Gerrard is not a good partnership IMO.

Watched Australia V Denmark in a friendly last night.

Fucking awful exhibition of football. Played at 1 mph in front of about 200 supporters, every one of whom had those motherfucking horns. I'm genuinely not sure how I'm going to survive a month of those fucking horns.

Anyway, the game: dreadful. Australia won 1-0, had pretty close to their best 11 out on the pitch, and still looked shit. Denmark were fucking rubbish. KHL, or anyuone else - was that your best team out there? If so, I'd be worried. Jon Dahl Tomassn (the fucking captain) up front on his own, running around like fucking Short Circuit. Hopeless cunt.
Agger played, looked alright. The whole thing was diabolical.

Oncy's right - Friendlies are fucking wank.

Missed this post.

Which was absolutely spot on.

Bendtner will start as our lone striker and not Jon Dahl, who's looking older by the game, but should he get injured we'll be royally fucked and on a plane home soon.

To Larry: Yeah there's a few 'golden boys' in the team but maybe it's a bit to early for a few of them. Agger's the oldest of the four then there's Bendtner, 22, Kjaer, 20, and the youngest player at the WC, Eriksen, 18.

We actually only missed about three of our usual starters in the Aussie game. Hopefully they were all just knackered because of the altitude otherwise we're going to struggle immensely.

It's being reported that Drogba has fractured his elbow in today's friendly game. Shame..
Apparently it might not be as bad as first reported - BOO !

France - China 0-1

Jeezzess they're crap.
Ahahahahaha I fucking hate Domenech.

I kinda hope Drogba is fine for the World Cup. I want to see the best players this summer, and he falls into that category.

Clearly it is, as gerrard is playing the role behind the striker not as a striker. He plays that role for our club just incase you forgot 😉

Australia got humped 3-1 in a friendly by USA the other night. It was thoroughly depressing viewing.

They're going into the WC this weekend with two of their best players (Emerton & Kewell) not touching leather for the last month. They're pretty fcuked.

Is this on TV and if so, channel and time?

Not as far as I'm aware.

I'm a bit concerned about the game from the injury point of view TBH. Apparently this team has a rep within S.Africa for being cloggers.

Sky Sports News are saying they are showing it live. Teams are out.

3-0 Rooney

Decent goal. Good run by Milner down the left cuts it back and Rooney scores with a first time shot.

Is anybody else annoyed by the Vuvuzelas ?

I know a lot of commentators and pundits have been grizzlin about them but they don't bug me at all.

They were really annoying during the Confederations Cup.
I didn't really notice them until they were pointed out.

I suppose they remind me of those air can horns from "back in the day".

Not the best of sources but funny anyways:

Diego Maradona says he has yet to decide on his starting line-up for their Group B opener with Nigeria and that could be more good news for Ariel Garce, one of the luckiest player in the tournament, - especially if the Argentina coach ends up sleeping on it.

For the journeyman defender, who had not been capped for seven years until Maradona called him up for the 4-0 stroll against minnows Haiti last month, is only in South America because of a dream, or so the story goes.

According to the maverick Maradona, he decided to overlook Javier Zanetti, Argentina's record cap holder with 136 and a Champions League winner with Inter Milan only a few days
ago, in favour of the Colon defender as he had dreamed Argentina were lifting the famous trophy - and Garce's face was the only one he could definitely recall after waking up.
