Wolfsberg are German champions after beating Werder Bremen 5-1 on the final day of the season, Bayern beat Stuttgart 2-1 but it wasn't enough. Bayern finish as runners up.

Stuttgart still get 3rd, and a place in the final qualifying round of the CL, thanks to Hertha Berlin losing 4-0 at bottom club Karslruhe.

Congratulations Wolfsberg - I'm delighted to see you win ahead of Bayern Munich !

Džeko scored 25 goals (and not one a penalty) although he wasn't top scorer, that went to his elder striking partner Grafite with 28 (including 8 penalties - unless there was another one today).

Wowzers

I guess Andrei will be whored out to some other club now Hertha will be missing out on CL wonga?

Wow. Impressive front pair.

I've heard that Grafite is a rock hard striker.

Yes, I know.

Did my man Dzeko score ?

Džeko got one today and Grafite two.

I'm getting fucking sick of walking around town with my "sign dzeko" sandwich board. I'm getting pretty miffed now

Caught the match today. Their home form this season has been excellent, almost near perfect. Bremen were half-hearted, esp. given the UEFA Cup final extra-time & defeat + upcoming German Cup final. Wolfsburg young german players like Grenter (sp?) was good and their flank play and crosses were precise and dangerous. Grafite has quite a bit of pace for his age and was excellent in both hold up and link up play.

It'll be interesting to see how Schalke 04 perform under Magath next season, given their larger fan base, stadium and apparent bigger transfer kitty.

Bordeaux can also sew up the French league today if they win at home to Monaco and Marseilles fail to win away at Nancy. Lyon are odds on to get the CL qualifying round slot for 3rd place.

Tell me about it.

You just know he'll end up at Chelsea or Arsenal and tear up the Premier League while we suffer our new round of absolutely dire imports next season.

Fuck Tevez and Silva. £45 mil for Dzeko. Hell I'll help fund it

*rummages in pockets*

£4.60 and a free hot drink from mcdonalds voucher. Who else is in the kitty!

Why would they sell? Why would he leave?

He's the star of a CL-qualified team that are bankrolled by one of the richest people in Europe.

The manager is leaving, he wants to leave too.

There's quotes in my thread about him last week.

Because he's playing in a team people outside Germany don't even now how to pronounce nor spell right?

Oh and Wolfsburg is not the most exotic place on earth either.

Even though it's the proud home of the Volkswagen.

Cos we're Liverpool football club.

Any professional footballer would be mental to pass up the opportunity to stay in fucking Wolfsberg as opposed to playing for the most successful British club of all time.

I don't think we'll be in for him Rafiagra, but we should be.

He will be at a top European Club next season.

There's stories linking him with Chelsea. Providing Drogba goes, they'll definitely be in the market for a top striker.
