Will.I.An

I wrote a few days back that Willian and most other foreign players (except Eto'o, who is a captain) will not play at this game - it was a joint decision by the management and the players.

@Waseem__B I am told tomorrow is 'D-day when it comes to #LFC interest in Willian. We shall see.

That should be our attitude with EVERY fucking signing. Identify the player you want, talk to the club, player, etc. and then set a fucking deadline and move on.

Signed..

Confirmed..

Fuck me I don't want him now. There's a bit of his head missing - he must be an absolute nutter !

I won't get it if he doesn't sign for us. Who wouldn't want to be part of THIS after witnessing our game today?

Don't be daft.

City, Utd & Chelsea would buy a player direct from the fucking Columbian drug cartels if he was good enough, & haggle whilst doing it.

You should read his recent interview. He said Shakthar have rejected every bid they got and didnt want to sell him. Chelsea and Spurs have been trying to sign him for 2 years.

According to some reliable people on Twitter a fee has been agreed. Will be interesting to see what Barrett/Pearce says later today.

@dom_campbell: Fee agreed for £32m for Willian, although 35 has also been thrown at me which I suspect is euros. We are currently in talks with the agent.

£32M? Ouch, that's steep. On the other hand, if he can be the difference between us making top 4 or not, he'll be is more than worth it.

Hopefully its 32 mill euros. But overpaying by a couple of mill doesnt matter, we need this signing.

Fucking hell, this will probably happen now.
Starting to look like a proper quality football team if this comes off.

shit article from the Mirror. I mean come on £15m and now newcastle bidding as well? yeah right!

Magpies hope for further talks over Anzhi star before Monday's clash with Man City - but Kop chiefs fancy their chances

Will he? Liverpool reckon Anzhi star Willian is set to sign for them

Liverpool are on the brink of signing Brazil star Willian.
In the past few days, Newcastle have entered the race to sign the winger, who can leave his Russian League club Anzhi Makhachkala.
But Anfield sources believe they can clinch the £15million recruitment of the Brazil international.
The Toon registered their interest last week and hope to resume talks ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City at the Etihad on Monday.
Joe Kinnear, Newcastle’s Director of Football, has been scouring Europe.
He watched Belgium draw 0-0 with France last Wednesday.
And he has been given the all-clear by owner Mike Ashley to bring in the players needed to make Newcastle a force in the Premier League and prevent a repeat of last season when they came perilously close to relegation.
Willian has made it clear he would like to try his luck in the Premier League where his compatriots Oscar and David Luiz are at Chelsea while Sandro has been a success at Tottenham.
During the summer, the Brazilian invasion has continued, with Fernandinho joining Manchester City while Paulinho has teamed up with Sandro at White Hart Lane.
Liverpool were the early front-runners to land Willian until Newcastle made their move.
He has also been linked with Tottenham and Manchester United, but the Anfield giants believe they can still land their target.

15 mill, yeah right

One report says £15m the other £32m. Journos are all fucking wankers and make shit up to stay employed. The worst ones don't even distinguish between euros, dollars and pounds which is just plain amateur.

My top of the head guess is that this will be a 'wages + transfer' deal with Anzi looking at the overall cost to get shut.

If the buyer covers his wages demands sufficiently for Willian to drop any claim against his current contract then Anzi will take a lower fee, the reverse will also be true.

We don't know the interest level but we are second tier these days. So if we are in poll position I doubt the fee is £30m+.

£20m or so to Anzi and no pay off will probably be it? No?

On a separate note, what the fuck is this supposed to mean? Joe wants new players, he watches Belgium & France hence he is in for a Brazilian not in the national team?!

manure won a league title last year with an average cm ... it's about having players who can win games by themselves ... we have 3 it seems currently (coutinho, sturrdige and Suarez) ....

Agree - RVP was a sizable part of their success last season.

Don't concede much + striker that scores for fun = winners
