Why are English supporters the most pitiful in world football?

Bit disappointed in the Russians letting themselves get caught. Perhaps they didn't have a return ticket.

Apparently there is a hardcore of 150 Russian Ultras still roaming around, unnaccounted for. I'm not sure how they've counted, identified (or indeed defined) this group of drug-crazed, "military trained", tooled up, superhooligans though.

Mr. Rodgers apparently sat talking with Balotelli for hours after he signed. It included drawing a stickman with a crown on it. It didn't really work.

I'm not sure if that's a poor reflection on Rodgers, or simply the only way he thought he could communicate with the pig-ignorant Balotelli.

He probably started with his neurolinguistic programming before spiralling down to charades then finally drawing stickmen.

If you get deported from a country, do you have to pay anything? It could have been a money saving exercise, why buy a return ticket when you know you're going to get kicked out anyway?

Excellent! Nice one UEFA. Hopefully that hideous cunt Lebedev gets deported too.

Although it won't stop any further disturbances outside the stadia

Be funny if they do get chucked out just before they host the World Cup.

Any decent news sources reporting it?

You need social control authorities to be able to see the wood AND the trees. So the combination and collaboration of football-specific policing forces needs to be complemented by a broader, non-specific police unit that isn't making sense of things within the same paradigm. The slowness of the authorities to act here has in part been because every incident seems to have been viewed through the lense of football problems, which has led to the patently incorrect and dangerous failure to separate 'ordinary' football hooliganism from what's blatantly been stone-cold sober, pre-planned and co-ordinated acts of social violence. There was enough evidence, on camera as well as on the streets and in the stadiums, to recognise this very early on, and yet the approach remained dogmatically and clumsily one-dimensional. It's easy to sympathise with the French police and security units when they have to deal with this event at a time and in a context of high alert terrorist threats, but you can't just drop a football dome over all these areas and funnel all the facts through that perspective. It leads to the chaos, confusion and lack of consensus that is currently playing into the hands of these organised groups.

She's setting new standards for UK journalism.

There was another classic recently when Cliff Michelmore (some old BBC fella) died, and Kay responded with typical alacrity, accuracy and sincerity by tweeting "RIP Malcolm Muggeridge" underneath a photo of Malcolm, who had died 26 years earlier. On a different day.

Why are they threatening the Russians?
Why the fine?

They are letting the real guilty country and fans off scott free here!!

Russians have done nothing, its been the English as it always is and has been for decades.

Uefa are a joke. Pitiful even.

You are aware that only 6 English fans caused trouble and they were dealt with yesterday.
