Who are the next Sturridge/Coutinho types we can sign?

On a sidenote, just read that these players' contracts are up this June:

Martin Demichelis (32) - Rumoured to be going back to River Plate with Saviola
Daniel van Buyten (35)
Claudio Pizarro (35)

The thing I really like about Mr Rodgers is that he seems to be into signing these types of players we are talking about.
The signings of Coates*, Allen, Assaidi, Borini, Sturridge, Coutinho etc are exactly the types of signings I would make. Young, Skillful, Hungry etc.
It means then these players like Shaquiri, Papadopoulos, De Vrij etc might just buy, we can actually with some justification suggest that these are the types of players we will be in for.
Its a lot like early Benitez when we brought in Alonso, Reina, Garcia, Arbeloa etc.
Poles apart from the shitfest of Rafas last few windows, the Roy window and to an extent Kennys window (although Suarez, Henderson, Downing, Enrique are actually all good signings in retrospect)
It fills me with hope. We really might sign some of Europes top young talent, we really WONT sign Milner, Barry, Nzogbia or anyone like that.
Good times.

Younis Belhanda only has one year left on his contract. Good competition/improvement for Super Stu.

A thought just popped up after seeing the Arsenal - Williams link (thank god!) where its reported that the deal is meant to shift Vermaelen out from the club. Has he suddenly become a poor player? Still only 27 yrs old going on 28.

He was never that great of a defender to begin with ... Ryan was going on about it last year when he was the 'in thing'
